*** The Official FIFA 13 Thread ***

My only decent pack find has been Ribery... sold him for around 200k on opening day. Should have held onto him for a much bigger profit! Oh well :(

Davey which online mode are you playing? Cups or League?

I tend to stray away from UT seasons as its full of people who abuse the over the top game. Its fine having pacey strikers but all they do is get the ball to midfield and use the lob pass:mad:

I find Division one difficult to win games but can easily win the Gold Cup without any problems. Played the Gold Cup twice last night and won it twice with my 4 teams

Whats your PSN? I can play you and check out your team/gameplay!
It's been the league today. Some of the guys were indeed over-the-top abusers, some just outplayed me quite easily.

I'm on Xbox so can't play you unfortunately.

Just hammered some guy 5-1 in the cup semi final, his team was a generic pacewhore thing with the usual suspects, Welliton, Dede etc. He sent me a rage message after the game moaning about handicap. :p

I found the game to be rather strange at times. My French Ligue 1 team plays absolutely rubbish unless I switch to ultra attacking mode, I was 2-0 down last night and struggling to get the ball. Switch to ultra attacking and im outplaying him and end up winning 6-3.

I have also met a few strange people online who thought I was lucky to win 5-1 despite him not registering his 1st shot until the 70th minute.

Practice makes perfect Davey :)

This pretty much ! I was god awful when I started playing UT when fifa 13 first came out. This has been the first year I have really got into it. I'm loads better than I was when I first started.

However you just have to accept that sometimes other players are just going to be better than you :p. Oh and of course have a bit of EA luck on your/thier side. I can always tell when someone really knows what they are doing compared to those that just keep smashing chipped through balls and hope that eventually they get a lucky break.

Generally I do as mentioned on here. I play about the first 20-30mins of the game in balanced or attacking (depending on my mood) But if within those first 20-30mins. If all I see is the attacker constantly passing to midfield and playing chipped through balls I swap to defensive/Ultra defensive depending on their ST's.

Not as half as bad when you feel a game is definitely handicapped. Played a guy over the weekend and was dominating play and players missing easy chances and open goals. Come half time and I'm 1-0 with his stats being 1 shot 1 goal. Second half continues the same as the first half except my players decide to score and I end up winning 4-2. Overall game stats were:

Me
30 shots
24 on target
4 goals

Him:
2 shots
2 on target
2 goals

I've found him good but not worth the price tag this year, best CB in la liga by far.

Awesome, glad I sold him for 130k then, considering this is the first year I have no real interest in a La Liga team.

Practice makes perfect Davey :)

Yeah, that was exactly my thought after I calmed down (I couldn't believe I got destroyed by someone with a bronze team!). I didn't sell anyone thankfully, and decided to play a few cup games for fun. I've since played 5, won 4, drew 1 (the draw was obv in the League, giving my other team a chance to regain fitness).

Like Adsta said, I just need an accept some people are better than me. It's not easy though as I'm (obviously!) a bad loser, especially as growing up I was always the best out of all my friends at games. I would beat them at my games, then beat them on theirs. I'm not used to losing that much! :D

Urgh, I hate people who make you watch every replay after they score, and who do huge celebrations that take forever. Is that just a pet peeve of mine or does it bother other people as well? When I score, I very rarely do a celebration, and I skip the replays, every time. It infuriates me when people don't skip it, almost feels like they're trying to rub my face in the fact they scored.
