Moving on from this thread

Basically im miffed but i dont know if i actually should be miffed and whether saying something about it will just make me a plain rectum.

I get home tonight, do house things, do shopping, ive even been round to said neighbour's to sort out an IT issue, theyre a fantastic neighbour, we get along swimmingly.

it has become apparent that the neighbour has spent a good couple minutes this afternoon reversing back and forth across my front garden and theirs because their car wouldnt get over the ice/snow

"oh buts its icy" i hear you say
"it doesnt snow everyday" i hear you say

but in her lazy attempts to drive from her front garden to the road, she cuts across the corner of my front garden almost every day and i know its a fraction of a moment in time, and its just driveway, but where do you draw the line??!

would you feel that you could freely just drive across your neighbour's garden? in fact, the more i thnk about it, the more annoyed i am.

this is the same silly neighbour who when i suggested we put a gate between the two houses to make the gardens more secure (she has kids etc ive got cool things in the garage/garden) her response was that it would be liking claiming that for me own by putting gates up.

i think driving all over my front garden is claiming that for your own too.

i vote for "stop being so english and be a bit more keyboard warrior"

normally my mk4 golf is a suitable boulder when its parked in its native position on the driveway but obviously when its at work my driveway/front garden is anyone's right of way!

going to do some file converting and see what i can get on youtube. i know what i should say but i want to make sure im not being a rectum

Garden ornament on the offending corner... or a bush.

Or you could simply ignore the lazy bitch. It hardly inconveniences you as you say... You are not even there when she does it.

Oh and I wouldn't say a single thing, just put the picket fence, privett hedge, garden gnome, bird bath, bush, tree or plant there and be done with it..
If she flattens it then by all means you have something to pull her up on, otherwise I'd just get on with your life and stress about more important things.

put a plank of wood with nails sticking up down so the nails are a few mm under the soil and stick a keep off the lawn sign down

From your description I think decorative boulders might be nice.

We had some put outside our apartments to stop people parking half on the grass. Occasionally I notice a boulder moved a bit and yes, I smile.

There is one bit of oyr car park that everyone seems to drive over though. The grass is now just mud. I keep meaning to ninja move some boulder at night. Dressed as a ninja.

My garden "ends" about 30cm to the left of the back end of the BMW (as you look at the image)

Left of that is the shared drive, to the left of that (off camera) is their garden

The black clear patch on my garden is where the mk4 Golf normally lives

The shared drive has a dropped curb, there is also a dropped curb to my side of the shared drive.

I can see the text being worded along the lines of "remember we discussed a gate between the houses a while back and you felt it would be "like you claiming the shared drive as your own"? well i feel that you driving across my front garden practically everyday, basically treating it like your own, is the same. please can you stop doing it? the purpose of the (shared) drive is to access our gardens"

Baffled by the vid!

However, whenever I find myself dreaming up technical solutions to political problems, I remind myself it's often better to get straight to the point.
It should go in your favour after all, who's gonna fix her PC if she ****es you off? :D

Is it even a garden or is it JUST a driveway?

If there is no grass or anything else to damage I do not see what the issue is?

the whole thing is paved, nothing will damage it, but its mine (and i know this will sound selfish) but its not my job to make your life easier

in the same way as you have a toilet and im sure it flushes, if passers by just waltzed in to take a dump (but flushed afterwards and didnt do any damage) would that make it alright?

i know im being "petty" to a degree, but it annoys me, im sure people can see why

Text!!!

Now you're being pathetic.
Have some balls to say something in person or just leave it..

ahahahahahahahahaha and it's not even grass, it's paved.
Oh dear, you need to get a grip.

But I will concede, if that video is your neighbour, she can't drive for **** so I do feel you pain there watching that. :D

you know its pathetic when youre laughing out loud at the prospect talking about it in person :D

I reverse partly over a neighbours driveway daily as it's nigh on impossible to get the car straight in the space we have without doing so. Never had any issues with the current owner or previous ones.

It seems quite minor to me, something that has CLEARLY been exaggerated by an already poor driver in the snow.

If it was grass or otherwise I could see the grievance but for a paved area.....not seeing it.

Insanely bad driving skills with fogs on

I would be more worried about her driving over and clipping your car! lol!

But on topic - I think you're being a little silly. From the op I thought you were concerned because she was driving over your begonias that you spent hours tending every day.

Wft is with that really poor show of driving, i read the thread went to let the cat in, poured another drink, had a , you get where i'm going....

Sans snow would make it a lot easier to understand what you're getting at tbh..
