Neighbour, driveway, taking the mikey, your opinion

seriously? the bad driver is slightly going on to your side of the PAVED drive...

its not as though it makes a difference...

do you care that the postman walks on the drive also?!?! OH NOES!

Op you are being petty. If it means that much put a pot or rock in the area you are concerned about. If I was your neighbour I would park my car bang on the divide right up to the foot path just to be awkward for you being petty I would imagine you would have to rethink your parking placemnt then.

to be awkward theyd have to park on the pavement and it would be so silly for them to be awkward considing im being so damn accomodating at letting them drive all over my garden

So what is the issue here? They aren't damaging anything, I don't see how this is harming you or causing you distress, I'm pretty sure this isn't lowering the value of your property and no one has been murdered. IF they did damage your car/property then it would be a whole different story.

The joys of shared driveways, always going to end well....

Your rage will build up and up, until one day the police find her in your fridge, best tell her now for her own safety.

the whole thing is paved, nothing will damage it, but its mine (and i know this will sound selfish) but its not my job to make your life easier

in the same way as you have a toilet and im sure it flushes, if passers by just waltzed in to take a dump (but flushed afterwards and didnt do any damage) would that make it alright?

i know im being "petty" to a degree, but it annoys me, im sure people can see why

This is a wind up, right?

and if anything was damaged, what do you think i would be told if i asked them to pay a contribution to repair the portion of my front garden they drive on every day. be realistic. it is not their property, they wont be interested at all, nobody would be, but they still feel the need to use it.

If she was going over your lawn then I would understand, but if it is driving over a corner of your driveway then I dont understand what you are whining about.

This TBH. I get on well with the neighbours that we share a drive with and it helps to keep it civil IMHO. One day you might bet a delivery or something that needs to take the whole drive up or you invite some people over and make parking tricky, the last thing you want is to give them an excuse to go all "OMFG... the drive, WHAT ABOUT THE DRIVE!!"

You'd hate living next to me. When we had two cars and I wanted to use the front one and the neighbour was out I'd just use their side  ;)

When I first read this I thought "that grass won't look great" and then I read on to find it's paved. How can you possibly be annoyed about that? You sound like the neighbor from hell, how petty :p

Put an automated barrier up that only accepts £1.00 coins to allow them access that area of your drive.
You already have the CCTV installed so you can use that as evidence when you take them to court for any infringements in the future...

Seriously though, you have a spiffing neigbour and yet you object to them using part of your paved access area to get their car parked up?

Sounds like you have potential to be a full-on nightmare neighbour.
If you were my neigbour and we got on so well and suddenly you moaned about me using a bit of your pavement for access you'd be forever branded as a collossal bell end of the highest order from that moment on.

Chill out man. Go build a snowman or something.

How is paving going to realistically get damaged by having a car drive over for it for a ridiculously short amount of time?

Sounds like you're just trying to find something to whinge about... Is it that time of the month again?
