I'm looking to order a CPU cooler for my 3820, hopefully before the cut off time so I can receive it tomorrow.

Budget is <£60, top down cooler preferable, I would have ordered a Noctua NH-C12P SE14 already but it's out of stock here, anything comparable? Failing that, I'm fine with with a closed AIO water cooler.

edit: disregard this, went and ordered a Thermalright Silver Arrow SB-E (the orange fan version) :)

Given that MSi X79A-GD45 is a budget X79 motherboard, getting 5GHz is probably out of my reach, but as long as I can get near 4.8GHz, I'm happy and with Silver Arrow it shouldn't be an issue either :p unless I have a really bad chip.

very happy with my Phanteks PH-TC14PE CPU Cooler, very well made and really easy to fit.

Comes with prety much silent fans, even when overclocked ;)

Well, it looks like I have one of the worst CPU out there.

Won't boot at all with 1.25 strap, with 1.00 strap I can't go above 4.4GHz or else it won't boot, and if it does, it locks up shortly after logging in.

The best I can get is 4.3GHz, 1.00 strap, 43x multi, 100 base clock.

The motherboard is MSi X79A-G45 (8D)
