eBay nintendo DS games, are they all fake?

Maybe Nintendo will do something about ebay who are essentially now a shop front to sellers who are trading these fake games? Maybe sue ebay to stop them selling any Nintendo games?

Make a complaint straight to Nintendo every time you get sold one of these fakes or report the seller to FAST if they are still around.

Yeah Nintendo would probably do something if they knew about.

I make resin jewellery as a hobby and you see people making TONS of Hello Kitty jewellery because it's popular, but their etsy regularly gets all the items deleted and a cease and desist email from Sanrio.

I emailed nintendo about the first seller - no reply.

I emailed FACT about the first seller - no reply.

It's funny. Piracy is seen as a huge no-no, people who illegally download games are he scum of the earth, buy buying obviously fake games from eBay is fine?
To me something like his is far worse than piracy. Downloading a game, nobody loses anything. Buying a fake game and someone is profiting off someone else's work. If you are going to buy fake rubbish like this, just download it, that way you aren't helping these skum break the law.

2nd dudes feedback even states fake DVDs too!

eBay really don't give a monkeys chuff anymore, fake goods all over the place, refunds left right and centre to the wrong people, not helping anyone that has genuine issues...

Ah but remember you MUST accept paypal, thanks for our % ;)

That's what I was thinking... Didn't NZBMatrix get shut down for similar reasons? Obviously there was a lot more pirated material on there but the principle is the same?

Yep, I see it like that too. I might as well just be buying some DS flashcart. :(

Well, Ebay is too big to fail probably by normal government logic. Tried buying a few Nintendo handheld games at various points (rarer ones that cannot be found new from shops any longer) but only gotten fakes so I've given up.

Hilarious. Hunt down the online pirates, but it's fine to scam on ebay because at least then the government makes some tax out of it, eh?

In my opinion, the moral way to deal with this is to pirate the game and then support the developer by donating if possible, otherwise just purchase their next game day 1. Scum of the earth EBayers profiting from others work should get nothing.

Likewise it completely boggles my mind that people actually buy pirate DVDs... If you really must, pirate it yourself. Same result, no money to the maker. Then instead of wasting the money on pirate dvds maybe you can buy 1 genuine for every 5 pirates you would have bought instead and actually support the makers slightly at least.

The sellers probably don't pay tax :/

Oh and I have bought another DS game, this time from a seller with 1 negative which was for a game not arriving. He has sold 400+ of this certain game. Will update on if its legit when it arrives (I am expecting it not to be).

Why don't we all buy a cartridge from the second seller and then complain that it's a fake, then see if he offers it for free. ;)

most people are probably fine with the fakes so long as the game itself works fine. As is probably true for most things these days.
Little wonder why so many high street retails go bust.

False. The publisher/developer loses out on profits for each illegal copy downloaded over a purchased one!

Isn't it only piracy if you resell fake items such as games/dvds. and if you downloaded a game/film its a civil matter?

strange they have not clamped down on the fake games, they seem to have
stopped all those fake nike trainers that were selling on ebay few years back.

I suppose nike was not happy people were paying too litle or better phrased paying what it should have been priced for in the first place by nike for their silly trainers.
