i have been asked to put together an 1156 gaming rig. never done one of these thus far so, need some expert advise please, they want to use a 3770 cpu. the advise i need is what is the best for gaming they want a 7950 gpu but leave the mobo and ram to me so, please what is your advise on those items please. thanks in advance

Uses of the PC (if it's just for gaming, no need for the i7 CPU i5 is exactly the same currently)

What is to be included (OS, keyboard,mouse monitor etc or just the tower)

thanks for answers budget is around 1500, they do not need monitor or keyboard or mouse, but they do need case, they mentioned 800d, never had one of those yet. yes they will crossfire in future with another 7950 and it was they who insisted on the 3770 thank you again

The 3770k really isn't going to give any improvement in games over the i5 3570k.

Stick with the i7 then and 16GB of Ram. You could go also go down the i7 2011 route.
