NorthEast UK Folk - Get In Here.

Haha, Hartlepool isn't the best place so I'm in no way allowed to call anywhere else.

Apart from Middlebrough.

Boro is ROUGH. :D

Ugh, tell me about it. I've been working there for a year now. I now refer to home as Costa del Hartlepool, tis glorious in comparison :(.

Every time I read incident spotter Teesside on Facebook, all the stories are about Middlesbrough and Stockton.

I'm liking this new Nine bar round the corner, County is turning into a hole these days.

It was fine back in the day when it was a hole with dukebox, pool table and dartboard. Now it's a hole with **** microwave food and dodgy beer. (And not as cheap anymore)

Never heard of it, looks proper nice looking at their website. I never liked The County, always seemed too packed and I always ran into people I know.

You not like anyone you know!? :p

It's all right bar to be fair, I'm never out that much anyway these days so hardly matters for me, I just go where my mates take me.

Hmm, web work you say . . . .

Ever set up a magento community site for shopping? I want to shift my entire zencart store to one, but I am struggling setting the bugger up!

Probably the college's fault. People like I, two years ago just get dropped into Shields never having been here before, and because it's just across the road from the college it's sustained by a continuous feed of bewildered out-of-towners like me. Otherwise it would have succumbed to it's encroaching mediocrity years ago.

I prefer Harbour Lights and the Steamboat these days, although I'll check this Nine Bar out at some point too. I even walked right past it the other day on the way to get a sandwich from the Pork Shop, and didn't even notice it. :o

I didn't for ages either, it's tiny and a tad expensive but much better than westoe and county.

I like the steamboat, riverside as well, down the coast too. Plenty of nice bats if you avoid the town centre!

Haha none of the ones I went to School with, no!

I haven't a clue Philly, I'm still learning at the moment but you've just added something else to my 'to-learn' list.

Funktopus you don't happen to know a Hepple, a Meeks or a Bonner do you? If you started your course around 2 years ago, I'm 90% sure I had a few mates starting around the same time.

cannot beat the steamboat (minging bogs aside..but to be fair they have been like since I started going in 25 years ago and no matter what layout or how many times they get done out they still end up the same!)

best jukebox in town! we go in midweek and comptete to get the longest song on possible...becuase it downloads stuff you can get all sorts of old Rush stuff :)

but for good beer the steamboat and the Alum house have the best going at the moment

I really need to start investigating the north east more. Live in Hartlepool, work in Middlesbrough, occasionally go to metro centre....have been to Durham once in all the time I can remember. Actually need to visit some new places.
