Oh the misery...

Buy some Safewash/Saferinse, strip it down, wash the contaminated bits, dry it thoroughly, plug it in and see if it still works.

Do these things hold any kind of dangerous charge inside at all?

judging from how much apple juice poured out, i'm not confident it will work again.

It was on a table, quite suitably placed. I wasn't there when it happened so i'm struggling to see how the idiot managed to 'kick' the glass over
Yep, he kicked it.
Can't kill the cat cos......wel, right now can;t think of a reason, but i'm sure the mrs won't agree.

Interrogate the step-son till he admits its all an elaborate lie to sabotage your happiness?

Put the cat on a main road roundabout and let nature (and bad drivers) do its course, maybe try this with the step son after throwing mint head and shoulders in his eyes, that stuff is worse than pepper spray!

KaHn

You will have to get to the core of the problem. The pink lady should have more control over the boy, is there not a Granny Smith that could look after him?

Lol, that's better, proper daft answer are what we need. :)

The weed smoking jabroni denied it was his fault and went to bed sharpish.
This is what grates me the most.....the disrespectful "not my fault" attitude of the 19 year old.
He reclined the sofa back to try and reach the cat instead of walking round the sofa and up ended the glass of juice straight onto the Denon.

When you don't have £279.......it's always a big deal!!! ACtually i got mine for £250 from RS.

I'm going to go out on a limb then and suggest that working to have more disposable income rather than owning extravagant audio equipment might be a better idea ;)

How much is the excess? After the excess and the increase in future premiums, it will probably cost you more to replace it through the insurance. She's probably right.

You have children that live with you, common sense dictates you shouldn't have tasty expensive high end electrical equipment due to the risks involved.

Option 1
Donate children to charity, Enjoy quality electrical products.

Option 2
Donate electrical products to charity, suffer children until they move out or are removed lol.

You chose to have a cat, and accepted the risks involved.
You chose to get a step-son, and also accepted the risks involved.

Accidents happen, deal with it. It's hardly the end of the world.

Worse things happen all the time. :p

seraphx: Prefer option 1 please.

paradigm.....i saved up for the bugger! I only want to hear the word "disposable" in sentences like "is the kid disposable?" That would be much better! :)

Did i say it was the end of the world or similar?

I am dealing with it.....gonna make a slipper out of the cat, and dump the junkie kid in some marshes!
Now that's GD style.

edit: Lol, shoulda posted this in the AV section, would have had more sympathy for me poor amp.............. ...why i laugh?.... :(
