I have now had two of these monitors, the second as an RMA replacement as the first one's power supply blew after around a week.

I have had the second one around a week as well, and the same fault has occured.

I also have a friend who has had the same problem, but he wouldn't accept a replacement when he saw that mine went the same.

I recommend Overclockers do some serious testing on these monitors as there is clearly a fault which should prevent these from being sold.

Regards

DGM is a super budget brand and should be treated as such.

You have had replacements for the faults that one should expect on such a budget purchase. Not much more to be said really.

Whether it's budget brand or not, the fact that a well respected distributor like Overclockers stocks their product should be enough to give them some sort of reputation.

It's because of products like this that Overclockers name will be given a reputation it doesn't deserve. Either stop selling the product, or test it properly before sale to ensure the customers will have no problems.

Budget or not, you don't buy a product with the mind set it's going to break.

Exactly this. The point of a budget product is that it tends to be made of slightly worse materials, or it doesn't have quite the same features.

You still expect it to be built to the same standards of quality testing as anything else.

They are on special today, I was seriously considering buying one, but after reading this I may pay extra for a better brand so thanks!

Returning a product is the last thing you want to do and with soo many problems they are obviously not fit for purpose.

What were OCUK like to deal with when the power unit went wrong?

You're making me re-think the £299 I just parted with this morning...

Any comment from OCUK??

Just to answer a question:

Overclockers were great to deal with. They raised an RMA, sent me a replacement which arrived maybe 3 days after I sent the first one away. Was great.

The company is not my problem, I'm more disappointed that they still stock products like this when there are clearly many problems with them.

Overclockers sell hundreds of these monitors. I doubt they will cancel a line due to a few failures. They offer a 3 year warranty themselves so they must have some faith in the product.

Strange I have used quite a few Fractal cases in builds and tbh have found them to be superb quality. I use an Arc Midi myself and have no complaints at all it's a superb case.

Cheers for the info. My DGM should be here tomorrow, was just curious how quick things might be if I do have an issue.

This is true. The deal yesterday started with 50 units, and its now down to 28. So 22 sold in a single day, plus however many sold since launching last July. Would be interesting to see some figures of how many had to be returned/had a fault; see the failure rate as a %.

All of these posts are making me slightly regret my purchase, but the 3 yrs OCUK warranty makes me feel a bit better. If something does go wrong, they are there...
