I got me an APC CS-650 UPS. Last week there was a power-failure that lasted just 1 second (lights went on and off like a strobe) but the CHAOS it caused my W7 installation The computer wouldnt boot, managed to fix that then it stayed stuck at login screen. Tried all the command-line trickery (fixboot, checkdisk, fixmbr) nothing worked Had to resort to recovery console and restore to earlier date. Never again. Immediately ordered this thing

Its very compact. I have 3-screen Eyefinity and 1 X monitor and the gaming rig are hooked up to it. Nothing else.

Comes with software showing energy use. You can also configure everything - like when it goes into
batt-mode (voltage), when the alarms sound. Wether you want it to shut down the PC immediately or wait a few mins etc.
The software also takes care of the computer by saving data and going into hibernate in the event of a power-fail.
