I would say the champ pack with the free RP is very useful. Gives you a good range of champs to use, add in the 10 free each week which you can test out and if you like them then you can purchase them with IP as and when you are ready.

It's pretty frustrating to say the least. Came in from work and fancy a few games before bed. Spend an hour and a half in the queue, play one and that's it. How do they expect to grow the game and support a bolstering playerbase with this sort of infrastructure?

An hour and a half? that is really taking the biscuit! people are going to start logging in before leaving for work to ensure they are in by the time they get back from work :(

Played one match, lost and got demoted into bronze II.

This game hates me, DC'd and then 2.5h later, I've logged back in and everything has been disabled..

Anyone else have a 1 hour queue atm? :-/

I play a lot of Kassadin and it's a lot of fun :-) Just make sure you keep up on farm and you should do well.

I wouldn't say kassadin was easy though, I used to like ahri but I think she got nerfed? twitch is kind of easy and does a lot of dmg even early game with the right runes but twitch is also fairly boring and probably not considered an assassin anymore since his stealth nerf

Assassin wise I really like shaco, xin zhao and nocturne. In fact want to try playing nocturne top lane. Not entirely convinced of how viable shaco is in lane though...

Dont know enough to know how he normally does for beginners but seem to be having a bit more luck using Master Yi. Will need to get some games in with other though, just with randoms atm

I only just started so think i only had one game before the latest patch. Seems to be the character giving me the most wins.

You don't half get some abuse mind you in this game if you're a beginner...

Alas you find this at all levels, you get people who don't fully understand your role blaming you for their mistakes, people who generally blame the team for their own mistakes and just abuse in general...

I was already logged in when the servers crashed, they disabled all match-making queues so being logged in didn't help :p

Several nights in a row though is just plain silly :( Some friends and I are already starting to migrate to DOTA2 - unreliable gameplay will just push us there faster, which is a shame as I prefer LoL!
