Noticed after a fresh install that I was getting blocks at the top and bottom of my browser window when scrolling through webpages containing flash, like a pink/white chequerboard.

Now I've just run AVG tuneup and I get this:

This is with the HIS HD7950 3GB.

Never saw any of this before with my old HD5770.

Using the same drivers, 12.10

I've tried all the betas and that. This is now a fresh install with the 12.10.

Should I really be worried, as this is an RMA replacement for a card that died.

This is what i'd do if i was you, begin the process of elimination.

Uninstall AVG tune up and AVG in general.

Use microsoft security essentials. Benefits of this include, faster, uses less resources, doesn't tell you blatant lies regarding Aero, works flawlessly with windows as windows make it.

Follow this guide. http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18431335

If you get problems after all that, you might have a faulty card.

okay, I understand why people are down on AVG after trying their antivirus a while back. The tuneup utility is standalone on a usb stick and I only use it to see what's going on. I don't follow it's advice religiously.

How about the corruption on flash webpages?

I've been doing this for years, and I'll never download Driver Fusion.

Could be an existing driver problem in your system, could be because you're using an old driver, could be a faulty card, could be something to do with avg, could be anything. Good luck.

Sorry, shouldn't have come down on you like that, I was under the old disappointment spell. You're trying to help me.

I've followed the guide, as much as it concerns me, missed the stuff about afterburner and that cos I'm not interested in overclocking (not yet :D )

So I'm on the 13.1whql drivers with the same webpage corruption. Every other driver is updated too, I'm religious about that with reinstalls.

I'm not gonna mention avg as I know everyone is down on it and I understand why.

What browser are you using? Does it happen with any other browser?

My current 7950 is fine with no corruptions when browsing pages with flash with the big three browsers.

Was happening with chrome, firefox and ie, and only pages containing flash. It started giving me artifacts on my desktop, gradually getting worse during today. Had enough and disabled aero and now everything is as it should be.

Not giving up. I'll probably do one more install before this one goes back.
