Odd but i can see the logic, though 14 years.. responsible, yes and no when i was that age:)

thou 60 quid would have been harsh as a said young un, me mum would have killed me:)

Pay it.

Someone i know was in an accident and wasn't wearing a seatbelt. Because of this he injured his back but he is now trying to get huge amounts of compensation from the driver ( of the car he was in...his friend)...

It was not a large crash and if he was wearing his seatbelt he would have been fine.

So we have well known seatbelt laws.
You chose to ignore them
You got stopped by the police for not wearing it
You got fined for not wearing it.
Yet you post on a forum asking what to do...
How about.....

WEAR YOUR SEATBELT

I can't remember the last time I was a passenger in the back of a car but it honestly wouldn't occur to me to put it on. I grew up in an era when wearing a seat belt in the front was optional. I always wear them in the front and completely understand the reason for safety. I also insist on the kids wearing belts in the back but for some reason it wouldn't occur to me to put one on in the back.

But that's the law so unfortunately you have to pay the fine.

 How long has it been law to wear a seatbelt in the back in England

This thread is the first time I have ever heard you had to wear one....:o

LOL @ this thread, I would say what I was thinking but I'd be banned.

So I'll keep it as nice as possible - please don't bread anymore.
