So I am kinda bored and can't seem to find any games to really grab me for more than a hour or so max. I don't know why but I find so many games so boring, even stuff I used to enjoy like the hitman series. I have the new hitman game but it's really average.

I have totally burned myself out on Football Manager after pouring a stupid amount of time into the series. I am also getting to the point where Civ 5 is becoming a little boring even though I love it.

I never have completed Skyrim but thats because the game just got stupidly easy for me at some point with my build.

I am looking for a engrossing game, maybe something world building/strategy style. No MMOs though, I have had my fill of those for the time being.

Any recommendations?

P.S. Are there any good helicopter/combat flight sims around?

Dragon Age: Origins. That'll hold you for a good 60 hours and then some with expansions. Brilliant story, brilliant combat systems (once you get used to them) and a lot of challenge at all levels.

It's a very old school western RPG though, just an fyi!

Thanks for all the replies folks.

I have played Fallout, Skyrim and DA Origins (Didn't rate this btw). I do have the Witcher 2 and started playing it awhile ago but it's been so long since I last played it and I remember it being pretty deep and a lot to handle in terms of storyline etc.

Company of Heroes sounds very good, I think I will give it a go. I may also try one of the Total War games, are some better than others?

Dota 2, free game, loads of passes flying about. Extremely addictive, major learning curve to begin with. Competitive 5 vs 5 moba.

I'd say combat flight sims like Il2, Rise of Flight, Lock On. You dont need to know and memorize 4 minute long start-up button sequences (which you will forget very quickly once you stop playing). But they teach and develop skill and geometrical thinking that stays with you forever. Rather than using XP and other such nonsense to "develop your in-game character", you use real XPerience to rewire your real brain to make you an Ace pilot that can absolutely dominate in an identical plane to your less skilled opponent. You really feel like gradualy turning into a God Of War in the skies.

WHen next air combat sim comes out, your real brain XP is already there, so no need to waste time building up youir character. But perfection is unnatainable, there is always something to learn- which is great :)
