Namco Bandai have a rewards system. When you buy one of their games you get a yellow Pac-Man card. register on their site and you get points for each game you buy or post on their forums etc. You can actually buy a Mr. Drippy and Wizards Companion for 7500 points.
 
ah this game gets better! :)


just done the volcano, and captured a load of familiars from the mountain. liking the familiar with the shells on its arms :D
 
Loving this so far, only 4-5 hours in and taking my time, just defeated the second "boss" type character and got a proper wand. Story is good, style of the game is great, combat is quite quick which I like but took a bit of getting used to. It has a charm about it that makes it a real joy to play.

not keen on mite.. haven't tried taking him out the party yet though. i'm assuming you can?

ive been reading through the familiars part of the wizards book (in game), there's some interesting one's, like dragons and dinosaurs that have caught my eye and look powerful. :p

May have a look later :) im about level 30 and find i always just go back to mite which i dont want to do, so may take a step back and level some of my others up so i can experiment a bit

I've found the one you get from Esther quite successful, he's good at kiting. Also the small green fairy type one you get from the forest on the way to Al Mamoon is pretty good for kiting as his water magic attack has basically unlimited range. I use him a lot for boss fights if they are weak against water as you can just run around the arena whilst Esther's familiars tank, he also has evade for the POE boss attacks
 
Couple of things I need help with please

How often should I feed my Familiars treats is it ok to feed a load until they are full? or should I feed them 1 treat every now and again.

also my Familiars are on about level 9 and I'm about 4 hours into the game (defeated 2 big bosses so far) how quick do familiars level up as they don't seem to level up as quick as I would have thought.

Just feed them a treat when you want to boost whatever stat.

They will start levelling up quicker once you get through to the next city after Ding Dong Dell (I was about lvl 13 when I reached it)

Im around 18hours in and my characteds are all nearly level 30 if that helps you get an idea
 
I've just been on the PSStore and there is 2 DLC for Ni No Kuni, both free, so I grabbed them. In game I now have 2 familiar tickets...where do I go with these? I am in Ding Dong Dell.

Also, bloody loving it so far!!

You're not quite far in enough yet to hand the tickets in to get the DLC familiars so I won't say anymore to avoid spoilers, but you'll know when it's time :p

Thanking you very muchly :D Shame that I have to stop playing for 2 hours when the football comes on...damn, why am I such a big football fan...
 
I'm now making my way through the
'Golden Grove'
and I am level 10 with Mite level 10 and that cat creature level 10...Loving every minute of the game...Only come off it because my control died and I sit out of reach of the charging cable...dang
