Hi guys,

I've decided to buy a new tower PC instead of upgrading my (very) old one.

I'm a web designer so I'll need open and be able to flick between very quickly dreamweaver, photoshop, FTP and several browsers

Intel Core I5 3470 Windows 7 PC 2tb 16gb

Will it do as I want? It does have the word 'gaming' in the description but the seller says this is purely to do with the better-than-average graphics card

Thanks in advance!
Rach

I'd remove the link before an admin finds it, you cannot link to competitors!!

Also, I wouldnt buy a PC from there anyway.
What is you budget?
What games you looking to play?

Can you remove the link please, shouldn't quote competitors here.. Will get a telling off.

So youre looking for a web design PC for around £600? You can do a lot better than that for the money. The GT610 is PANTS!, even compared to the 3450's onboard graphics.

Are you wanting a pre-buillt or to build yourself?

Oops sorry, I've changed the URL

I build websites, not PC's unfortunately! Was looking at buying from there as it seems you can get more for the money than a big company

Yeah £600 is max (ideally)

Edit: No games will be played but not fussed if it's a "gaming" PC as long as the only difference is graphics card

I know the higher the better is generally good, but I have no idea on processors. I'd like an i5 but there's so many about... another example I've found: AMD PILEDRIVER FX 8350 Black Edition, 8 Core, 4.0GHz/4.2GHz, 16MB Cache - any good?

okay, the price is a few hundred between i5/i7 - is it worth getting the i7 for what I want to do with it? or could I get the i5 and make up extra memory?
Thanks

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think a trinity build would manage this?

Would the cut the budget nicely.

I dont think she'll be building mate!

Ahh I see..... bugger :D

It would definatley be the better choice and think she should find someone who could assist, or maybe speak to OcUK to see if the could build it for her.

The spec you've done should give some headroom right?

Rach_jenn - I would suggest you contact OcUK regarding the spec and request a fixed quote for them to simply build it. How would you feel about installing the OS?

Thanks guys

I could ask OC to build me something but what am I asking for - something
along the lines of what you've detailed above?

Yeah I could install an OS providing the instructions are for dummies...
