Geforce Titan rumours.

Hey guys. Anyone else experiencing SERIOUS time compression waiting for the chance to pre-order!? I'm sat at my desk at work (shhh) and can't stop checking back and refreshing every few minutes!

I think this is my first post here despite being a lurker for a while, and a loyal OCUK customer for even longer! I hope everyone who is planning to get a Titan is successful!

It looks like if you want to run Crysis3 at 1920X1080,even a Geforce Titan won't be enough if you want 60FPS!!

Why is the 3960x system scoring higher than the others, its not the best CPU for gaming.

You could argue that you might still see 60fps at 1080p if you have a CPU running around 4.8Ghz considering how much performance is gained by a better CPU in those graphs. The 3960x at 3.3Ghz makes a worlds difference from a 2500k, That is very surprising.

Really want this card tbh.

But i'm sure it will be out my price range at launch tho.

Hopefully in a few months time prices will have dropped below £750 so i can get onboard after selling my 670.:)

However if it can be found for £750 i'll snap one up without delay!

I would prepare for disappointment. I'm predicting between £850 and £950 and there's even a good chance that some kind of uber warranty version will land at £999. Just my own hunch.

As others has said, because Crysis 3 makes better use of multithreading?

Presumably the only reason this benchmark is out, is because it is actually showing CPU performance not Titan's performance (Despite saying GK110 in the spec). I would assume any other high end graphics card 7970/680/690 would scale in the same way, as the bench is clearly CPU limited at that resolution.

:(

It's not a price/performance card. There are many other things to consider than price/performance alone.

I know its not a budget card - but those figures look terrible - especially since there are no comparisons with 7970 crossfire, 680 SLI, or even a 690 in that video, all of which would destroy it I assume.

EDIT: Realised AresII is obviously 7970 crossfire

Comparing against 660SLi is surely missing the point of this card as well?

And that's just default speeds, thing overclocks like a beast and at 1.2 it actually measures up close to the 690. Awesome card.

Other cards obviously overclock as well - apples<>oranges and all that
