I'd really recommend Martinez tbh. I use him as a Center CM in 4321. He is just perfect for that role. With M/M workrates he hovers around the center never goes too far forward never strays to far back. While he might not be the fastest I don't need him to be. He is stupidly strong (92 strength) with 86 intercepts, 81 vision and 84 aggression. He always seems to just be in the right place for me. I don't generally like slow players either but Martinez seems to be the exception for me.

I've had him for 20 games now, not once have I ever thought about replacing him. He dominates the center and can really make some great passes too. I think the thing to remember with Martinez is don't use 1-2 passes with him. Its pointless he is never going to run upfield with any kind of pace and you don't want him going up field too much or he will not get back quick enough when say a counter attack is on.

Yea I can see him being a beast as part of a central 3, similar to pirlo. Don't think he's up to it in a 2 man partnership or a sole cm.

Tim Naingollan (sp?) is a beast, so underrated, use him as a sub cm in my 4-3-2-1

I go up 4-0 in the cup
The guy starts pausing the game and waiting out the timer, after the third time I get disconnected from UT and get DNF penalty
To top it off this was after losing to a pace team whose slowest player, Dede, was faster than all of my outfield ten except my right back :(

The game is flawed no fun to be had IMO with decent passing players hence the reason me selling my coins, I've been winning more than ever but the pure joke of the game takes the fun out of it. may as well have generic BPL/Italian league players

The only thing that has surprised me is how quick my coins sold on the bay of flea.

This game just kills me some times. Played 8 games tonight in seasons. 4 games won by absolutely murdering my opponents, my players just play like gods always in the right positions makes lush passes shooting is spot on. Then 4 games lost, same team players play like idiots can't pass can't move into position their shooting always seems either weak as hell or go flying over the bar.

Also why the **** do players every now and then just stand completely still when a pass is coming to them ?! You pass a ball with not quite enough power. I try to move the receiving player towards the ball but they just will not move at all. They just stand there waiting for the ball to come to them at which point some defender comes flying in front of it and takes the ball.
The worse situation of that was tonight when I passed a ball from my LB to one of my CB's nearish the box. Not quite enough power in the pass. The CB just stood there as if trying to stop some attacker from behind getting the ball. Of course one of the ST's just ran grabbed it and scored :mad:
 
I had a million coins sitting doing nothing whilst I was waiting for prices to come down. Since it doesn't look like there will be a price crash anytime soon (Messi and Ronaldo in particular) I punted them on that well known auction place for £125 (approx £110 after fees).

Market prices seem over inflated for the top players and majority of IFs.

Won the gold cup twice with this team so far and haven't lost any games with it, the defensive work rates and the keeper look crap but they're always decent in game, probably because the CBs are so pacey. The keeper has pulled off some really good saves but he's a bit pants at corners. Altidore is epic he's a pure dark destroyer and his 99 shot power really shows in game. :p

I've been rotating the midfield three with Enoh, Vilhena and Clasie, all really good. :)

Friend of mine plays with a similar team although he hybrids Chiellini, Ogbonna and Marchertti in. Plays with De Jong, Fer and someone else in CM with the same 3 up front.

Altidore is definitely a handful! :)
 
Oddly enough I've been slowly building a similar side to that K1LL I picked up IF Altidore for 11k BO :) So its good to hear the dutch league is pretty good. Its the one league I've been wanting to try out for a while now.

Yeah it's a decent league but the Achilles heel is definitely the GK selection, there aren't many choices, I tried IF Vermeer and even though he's discard price he's horrible and a total waste of coins, you could put a Dutch keeper in like Stek or Vorm but then it isn't an Eredivisie side, which bugs me. :p

I've got Douglas as my rotation CB and he's really solid, scores at corners and pushes pretty much every player off the ball, defending against pace abuse is pretty simple for this team so far, I just
owned a guy who was 1-2ing constantly between Pato and Welliton and I still kept a clean sheet! :)

The only thing I would suggest is not to get roped in by the IF players, there's only a couple I've tried that have actually been worth it, I find IF Strootman worse than NIF, IF Vermeer was pants, IF De Jong wasn't great and neither was IF Janssen. Stick with NIF and silvers where you can.

I can't believe how unbelievable this game is. I win a hard fought 3-1 game in the gold cup against a pace whore skiller only for ea to say after the game (when trying to find a game in the next round) to bin me out of the cup randomly. No losses recorded just cup reset.

First game I come up against a pace whore hybrid with remy upfront on 3/5 chem. absolutely anihlated him. 3-0 up in first half. I relax a bit and let a goal in. Think nothing of it start hammering him again, take it to 4-1. He constantly hoofs long balls over the top to remy easily defended. He then resorts to long shots, ping off for corners. One corner he ran 3 of his players into my keeper, ball rolls through 3 of my players, under my keeper and in off remy who knew nothing about it. He then decides remy is a good player and started passing the ball to him any which way he could. He scores 2 simarly dog turd lucky goals and then ends up winning with the last kick of the game by pushing ogbonna and marchetti over with remy to walk it in. I couldn't beleive what I was seeing. Game is so buggy
 
Yea the keeper selection is really limited :( I got Stek who was an amazing keeper for my serie A team. The only IF's I've got was Mertens (SIF) and Altidore (also SIF).

I think the mix of silvers and golds make opponents under estimate your team which of course can work highly in your advantage :D
