wii mini

An atrociously ugly piece of hardware stripped of far too much functionality. No idea why you'd buy one of these when you can find dirt-cheap second-hand Wiis anywhere these days.

Agreed. I used a post code finder on eBay to find a close used Wii one, and picked it up last weekend for £27.00. It's in great condition, well chuffed!

It's got everything, including backwards compatability with the NGC (a feature stripped out of the latest Wii's).

I see no reason why this Wii would sell, but it probably will...

I would be genuinely interested to see the sales figures for it, and the Wii in general actually. I worked in retail until December last year and 2012 was a massively poor year for the Wii from what I saw. The years before we were always selling the games and consoles, but last year demand dropped away entirely. The PS3 did very well though.

Probably because at that point everyone and their dog had one. Not to mention Nintendo basically stopped developing first party games for the Wii last year to focus on developing for the Wii U and not too many good 3rd party games came out. About a 1/70th of the worlds population have a Wii :p.

So lets tot this up. Lame joke to start with, beaten to it by some one else with a time delay of 6 hours..........................its not looking good for internet-cred :D

I can't fathom why they didn't include Wifi and really push the VC and WiiWare stuff for it. I really don't see who would purchase this.

I've given my daughter the Wii for her room. I'm happy that she has access to the internet because I monitor what she does anyway. So the odd argument I've seen that this is an ideal kids console is a bit of nonsense anyway.

Though, to be fair, I imagine the online usage of games (even Mario Kart) is through the floor.
