Bacon is Bacon..but is the roast chicken hala roast chicken![]()
Why would a vegetarian want to eat something that tasted like meat?
That's real committed of you veggies! Well played.... pillocks.
how did you expect me to respond to a post showing equal distain for vegetarians? My point is people who eat a plant based diet are healthier than meat eaters, thats a fact.
I doubt walkers are filling their crisps with good quality meat, its most likely rennet or mechanically recovered meat juice or similar junk, it just adds to the obesity epidemic.
Or are we thinking more prison uproar as inmates find out their crisps powdery coating isnt halal?

It's up to Walkers if they want to switch to using meat in their products rather than just the flavourings but equally it's the right of consumers to complain if they don't agree with that choice. That's one of the fundamental points of capitalism - you can vote with your wallet.
If it's not going to improve the taste or make them healthier (ok, so it's a stretch to put healthier and crisps in the same context) then it is a curious decision except for publicity. They're cutting off a proportion of the market that they don't really need to as Mars attempted to do by using animal rennet in their products.
lol at all the comments directed at vegitarians. You can still eat meat tasting products without eating actual meat (you know)-or have you forgotten some vegitarians base their ethos on moral grounds ?

It really isn't. If you believe so, can you provide a reputable source?
Im not a preaching vegan, but I do not understand why people want to fill their bodies with junk from walkers, meat or not. I know from my own experience I am a better athlete since cutting out diary, eggs etc. and going full vegan a year or so again
but less coffee, doughnuts, and eggs than did nonvegetarians
Tbh it's the other way with me: Pro standard weightlifter, though I do sympathise with and respect your position.
