I'm thinking of putting a pair of noctua nf-a15s with an h100i in a corsair 500r. Will this work or should I just stick to normal 120mm fans?

Not good fans for radiators.
Try the corsair sp120,ive got 4 to put on my h100
Only consider any other fan apart from a Gentle Typhoon if you like worse cooling performance and excessive noise.

Moved from sp120's to GT1850's. No looking back in anger.

I'm about to order some fans, and I know you said get the GT's but the 1450? rpm isn't in stock. How loud are these in reality on full whack? My room is pretty silent and has no outside noise. Quick Matt, QUICK! I need to spend more money! (implying money has already been spent......on a certain cooling product)![]()

Only just seen this but i replied to your trust. They are quiet at full speed, but not silent. However they make a nice fan noise that is not high pitched, whiny or annoying unlike sp120's.

Thanks, Sorry to pester you but I've got a months wages and an empty basket.
Thanks again, and if it's ok, could we have a go at the mem clock tomorrow? Had a little play on farcry this morning and it just crashed about 15 mins in with just the core clock upped.
EDIT - I have no emails, something fishy is going on here.......

Keep checking its in my sent box.
Yeah nay bother. You might find you need an extra notch or two of core voltage to be game stable.
Aaah got it now, and as for the video link....... I've got 4 in my basket now!
I'm in need of a fan controller as well, my case has one built in but it only has 3 fan sockets, so that's that out the window. I'm looking at the scythe kaze master 2, seems the only thing suitable for me because of my door.
Nice. If i had room for any more in my case id most definitely add them. When you get them plug one in to the pwr header on your motherboard and put it close to your face. Powerful focused cold air. Why they are great on radiators and heatsinks.
Well I hope that they don't run out of stock in that case as I may have to get more!
Just a thought..... is there any way to run 4 fans on one cpu fan socket on the mobo or will it not provide enough power?

I think four might be pushing it. Don't you have more than one fan header you can use?
Get that fan controller. I don't use any of my fan headers these days.![]()

Can you control each fan through link? or do you use a fan controller?
ill be using a fan controller for the fans,2 on one channel as ive got a 4 channel fan controller http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BB-009-SY
I've just installed one of these but can't stand how the standard fans sound. I've got a couple of these knocking about http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FG-059-AK&groupid=701&catid=2331&subcat= anyone have any idea if these will work in the same way as the standard fans. Both have the PWM connectors I see. The softwares tripe aswell.
Ah I see! I may give them a whirl then.
