Cat breath

I find the odd nasty whiff from a cat's mouth a useful reminder to the fact that they lick their bums to clean them.

I suspect something in normal toothpaste would kill a cat considering large quantities can be toxic to children

Yeah, maybe if you eat it, but he's talking brushing teeth here? Tiny blob on a toothbrush?

Besides its probably the tongue scum making the breath smell what with all the licking ass and whatknot.

Get a tongue scraper

Good luck brushing your cats teeth. Just leave it be or feed it some dental treats that freshens breath.

Adding another voice to the choir... Don't use human toothpaste/medication on animals! Almost everyone knows that you shouldn't give them chocolate but Polo mints, raisins and artificial sweeteners (to name but a few) can all be deadly in very, very small doses.

@!Sargent_Mango!

As others have said, get you cats teeth checked, use a toothpaste specifically for cats or better yet get your vet to clean the cats teeth (more thorough that way) and have a look into a B.A.R.F. diet. Since our family started feeding our dogs on B.A.R.F., their teeth have been much healthier, their breath has been better, they've had fewer skin problems/itching, they're less lethargic, they don't gulp down huge amounts of water after eating the dessicated, dry gravel that passes as pet food... I will never feed any of my future pets the mass produced rubbish* that passes as food.

I forgot to mention that our dogs are fed on chicken mince, tripe, ox hearts, chopped vegetables such as bell peppers, carrots, swede, spinach and a few others. As well as the all important raw bones from chicken carcasses and lamb's tails and ribs. And, with all the health benefits, it still works out cheaper than dried food.

*"rubbish" is too kind of a word. Rice, rusk, grain, oats etc. Dogs and cats would never eat them in the wild so what's it doing in their food? They can't digested it properly. What happens when a lactose intolerant person eats cheese? They get ill because they lack the ability to process the the lactose sugar.

Then there's all the pink slop. The connective tissue, cartilage, fat... all the junk that has practically no nutritional value.

There are multinational animal food companies out there who have been caught using road kill, for which they have no way of knowing the freshness of, and euthanized animal carcasses and we're not talking about cows and pigs in dog food. We're talking other dogs and cats in dog and cat food! Think about that for a second, companies selling pet food made of the bodies of ill pets! Best case scenario, the pet carcass in question was put down due to old age but they could have been sick and of course they'd have a lethal cocktail of drugs in their system from the lethal injection.

I'm not some PETA nutbar, I'm not some level 5 vegan who won't eat anything that casts a shadow. I'm just an average guy who's read up on the horrendous nature of mass produced animal feed.

Yes. Our family has a one toothbrush rule which means that we all use the same one.

BUT NEVER TOGETHER BECAUSE OF SCIENCE.

Sometimes I'm first, other times our cat is first. Sometimes if Schrodinger is with us it can be difficult.
