Planning on putting together the below system fairly soon.

I haven't built a PC in a long time so just want to make sure I haven't missed anything and all is compatible. Is this all going to fit in the case OK, sufficient fans etc.? Not overclocking for now, maybe later. Don't need mouse, keyboard, monitors.

It's going to be a bit of a jack of all trades. Gaming (FPS, Flight Sims), graphics, development....

Thank you.

• You dont need the thermal paste, the coolers come with that stuff.

• A retail Blu-Ray drive usually includes playback software.

• I think I would get the Z77X-UP4TH board.

Noted about coolers, blu-ray, paste.

Why would you choose the Z77X-UP4TH board in preference?

The UP range of boards have IR3550 power stages, they essentially rock.

I've noted less Vcore needed for the same overclock when I used one compared to a previous Gigabyte board. I have also seen this reported in a review of the board (think it was in a CustomPC mag)

You gain Thunderbolt ports on the rear.

Its also on offer, thus a bit cheaper.
