Yeah i put one in my girls pc and she has an old socket 775. Makes a world of difference.

matt what sort of OC were you running to get that score?
I just ran the same settings and got 86FPS
Edit it appears i'm as blind as a bat that still a huge difference though in fps.

That's what i thought, especially when i compared it to my extreme run. I even ran the test again to confirm the results were correct and they were. Was using 5ghz i7 and 7970 @1300/1823. could have pushed the gpu further to be honest.

I'd be happy to match your clocks on HIGH SSAA if you want to compare scores.

I posted the settings i used in that screenshot mate. All i did was change res to 1080p, change vsync to no and change SSAA to high. You can see it all in the screenshot above. Nothing else was changed or touched.

EDIT

You're right it doesn't show shadow density in that screenshot but i can promise you i selected Extreme settings then custom changed the relevant parts.

Just ran extreme including world density on extreme and got 41fps seems your cpu is helping you perhaps?
Only managed one run as my card starting throttling the clocks on the second go through.

If your card is throttling then your fps will be lower. Lets both run 1080P High SSAA at 1150/1650. Those were the clocks that Brains was using earlier. I will report back with details shortly.

I'm using the same drivers. I think something in your system is wrong mate. Check this benchmark. A stock Ghz edition card gets more fps than your overclocked card.

Maybe your cpu is holding you back? Other than that ive no idea.

A 7970 clocked at 1150/1650 is a slightly faster than 2x6950. Good to know for future advice.

im using 13.1 drivers too, found that 13.7 beta keeps crashing win 8 and cant load it ;-/

What clock speeds? Myself and brains posted 1150/1650 7970 vs 7950 clocks @1080p earlier. Best if you copy those clocks to compare.
