SLI Titans Overclocked and tested at 5760 x 1080 and in 3D

Yea but people who buys such the price wont matter.
I can buy 3 7970 for the price of one titan here.
or 6 7970 for 2 titans.
So for the price of one Titan I can run 7970 trifire.
I know what I would have bought.
Then I could make the smarter choice and got 3x7950 for a price less than one Titan and still get more performance.

The point is moot though since again the price shouldnt be a factor when you buy such cards. Just buy enjoy, and eat noodles for a few months or get a divorce :D

but you can't run 6 7970's in one PC

but you can run 3 Titan's in one PC

you are right in as much as if someone decides they want a Titan (or 3) then very likely the cost is a minor concern :D

I really don't see how Nvidia can justify these costing £1800 quid (current pricing) There is no where near £1800 quids worth of performance in them graphs and personally I would be disappointed with them.
I don't want to take anything away from the pepole that already own them, thank you for giving up the time to show us these graphs Greg, I know how much time it can take.

It's pretty easy to pick up a pair for about 1600. Not saying it's a lot better but you know, it all helps. :)

Nice work Gregster, it'd be interesting to see what fps boost you'd get if you'd taken off the AA completely in 3D, I've personally not missed it at all in 3D Vision when I've struggled for fps.

Cheers Xsistor :) The price is hard to justify. It was made slightly easier to swallow by selling my 680's first and at a fairly good price. If buying from scratch though, I can see why a few have called for Nvidia's blood. Drop the price £200 (that will be the gouging) and I can see a few more jumping on these.

Glad to see you are making the most of the Titans - impressive gains over the 680 SLI but at 2560 x 1440 I think my 2GB 680s will be sufficient for while yet. Thanks for taking the time and having the diligence to benchmark in such detail.

Enjoy your cards mate :)

Great info buddy, a lot of work went into that too, probably going to have to get the cataracts sorted after all that 3D testing.

Main thing is your happy with the performance given on your setup and that is where those Titans shine bright.

Didn't know any titles were playable with any AA at all as you can't(technically you can but imo, you wouldn't want to) using Tridef, I don't know if you can with game specific native 3D as I always switch it off anyway due to habit.

Hopefully my order arrives today as it should and I don't get a lazy delivery driver, and then it will be time to fire up the big bouncers as I asked 5UB to change the game codes because I already have Crysis 3.:D

Most of the games turn off AA before it starts in 3D and you get 3 huge fonts of red writing across the screen informing you of this :( I agree that 3D looks better without AA though and it is better to turn it off.

I am well chuffed with the results so far and I am almost finished with the 1080P testing. Just got Tomb Raider and NFS left to do :)

Hopefully peeps can see what performance to expect from a Titan (or 2) and this will hopefully let them see if it would justify the price for them. Like I said, I feel they are overpriced but wouldn't send them back because for me, they do what I need. :)

Thanks for the nice comments men :)

Maybe annoying, but not as annoying as having to jump out of a game, to reapply the AA when you forget to switch it back on-eg Hitman type launcher titles.

Tridef can disable it, but the devs say it's better to manually disable it for optimum results as Tridef has less passes to calculate(along those lines anyway).

I agree that 3D looks better without AA though and it is better to turn it off.

It's to do with separation when 3D rendering calculations are done, I'm sure you'll know this, but it's just for those having a read with a possible interest on how 3D is rendered or thinking about giving it a go.

:)

Here is the frame latency times from 3D surround gaming :( Not a pretty picture but mostly felt smooth except for FarCry3

I have done the 1080P results and very impressed (as I should be) One single Titan holds up very well and I would recommend one to a 1080P 120Hz user who wants an Nvidia card. It copes with everything thrown at it and makes you a cuppa (might be an exageration on the cuppa). I would be very happy to recommend one if they drop to £700 or under (pay attention Nvidia).

Lots of guys not happy on Ocn.net and kicking off about the TDP not reaching 100% but they need to chill and wait for maturer drivers. When Nvidia get going to work properly on these cards, I expect much better results. Nvidia WILL be aware of the situation because of the amount of people who posted and I am sure they are working on it.

on the EVGA forum, people are claiming the latest beta's improve the "de-clocking when fan is on high" issue and that boost settings are being more stable - even if TDP's are not going over 100%

It is a nonsense to kick off so early. I agree about making the devs aware but people threatening to RMA it because of it is farsical. I used the latest drivers and I don't feel they are as good as the first but they will improve.

Anyways, here is my 1080P testing....

Very impressed with how this single card done with all settings maxed and max AA available. No choking anywhere and the minimums are what keeps it smooth IMO.

NFS:MW I couldn't turn off V-Sync and even after editing the cfg file, it was still stuck on 60. I did the test anyways to see if it went under and it didn't, so thought it was at least representative of minimums, so left it in. BF3 was very impressive and I did the same bench we have always done (from the music starting to going back to the garage). I am fed up of Broils and no matter if I get there first (the crates where he talks for ever), the other soldiers push me out of the way. I kicked his laptop all the way up the alley because of that :D

do you happen to have a saved game for the start of Going Hunting for BF3?
I re-built my machine the other week and didn't get a back up... I've found some Ares II crossfire benches @ 7680 for Going Hunting and want to compare
