Sleeping Dogs performance

Here are results on 1920 x 1080, it is actually worse which has surprised me a bit lol

Does this seem right guys?

Spec is:

i3 3220
7850 2GB
8GB DDR3

I often get micro-stutter because the FPS seems to fluctuate so much, one moment I can be getting 60FPS and as soon as I turn around or look into the distance etc it can drop to 40 which tends to cause micro stutter, it's worse when driving fast.

What can I tweak to get it running a bit smoother?

I'm using the same drivers. I think something in your system is wrong mate. Check this benchmark. A stock Ghz edition card gets more fps than your overclocked card.

EDIT

Maybe your cpu is holding you back? Other than that ive no idea.
Well that sucks,
It certainly looks that way matt, i have my FX @4.8 at the moment too,
Are you using windows 8 or 7 matt?
I'm almost 100% positive that it's my cpu holding me back, take for instance 3DMARK.
With my card @1200/1650 i get around 9150-9180 in the gpu score, which to me looks good and falls inline with others, But as soon as you start to included the cpu it all goes to crap.
A new cpu is needed!:D

shrink it or link it

Looks good.

Can anyone advise at all? Stuttering is really getting annoying now... It's really bad when driving fast. Is something wrong with my rig?

It is camera shake when you drive fast not microstutter. I know its a pain isnt it and I messed about for ages before I realized what it was. It's because the camera moves in and out and makes it look like its lagging

Hmm... When I went into full screen mode the micro-stutter was a LOT less noticeable. It was still there but it wasn't anywhere near as bad.

I think what I notice aswell is I'll be driving and the FPS will just fluctuate so much. In all honesty when I built my PC (i3 3220, 8GB DDR3, 7850 2GB) I expected to run this game on maximum everything with a constant 60FPS lol.

In general though gameplay is decent, when walking around my FPS is always decent with an average 50FPS I'd say.

So do the type of fluctuations/FPS levels I mention sound normal for my setup?

I've not experienced that issue im afraid Tom but that sounds like a game issue rather than a driver issue.

Yeah just did that a 2nd time and it finally fixed it

Here is a run at 1175/1500 no idea why the game says its a 7800 Series unless OcUK scammed me :p

Interesting result. You definitely have a 7950? :p

See mine and brains comparisons earlier when clocked at 1150/1650. If you can run a bench using those clocks then it would be good to compare. Your results are slower than ours but your memory is only at 1500 so maybe thats why.

Wouldn't complete the benchmark at 1650 on the memory, it was only stable at 1500 long enough to get a screenshot of the results before the display driver restarted.
