bricked 7950wf?

well i managed to brick both bios 1+2 by forgetting what setting the bios switch was on. GREAT good news is ive managed to recover by bootable dos atiflash and put f43 bios on bios 1. and the fz1 bios on bios 2 switch.

Its been a steep learning curve the last 24hrs lol

Bet you don't forget next time - if there is a next time

Don't want to sound rude, but this is reason inexperienced folks shouldn't be flashing GPU bios without good reason.

And how im and other people to get experience if we dont try things?
No harm done in the end and im thankful to the ocuk community for helping me out.
i know the risks involved in flashing and if i bricked it then i would just have to get another card.

And for the reason i wanted to flash was i didnt want 1.25v running through the card when gaming in a bitfenix prodigy i wanted to run the card at a lower voltage to keep temps down.
Temps are 6degrees cooler now with f43 bios at 1000/1250. (good reason).

I would agree if we were in 2002 when there was no onboard gfx, or dual bios and you had to pray that you had a spare pci gfx card lying around, but with today's cards bios swapping is soo easy to recover from.

Only thing that annoys me is when people use windows flash software and not the safer DOS method :)
