Pic: Your desk...RIGHT NOW

Rear firing bass ports, do you not find the bass gets muffled a bit being so close to the wall? My Tannoys need to be 15cm from the rear wall to avoid boomy bass. At 15cm they're glorious though.

Yours look like Gale monitors? Had them at work and they are rather nice all the same :)

Yeah they are Gale Silver Monitors, they sound ok, they are at an angle and the distance from the wall is deceptive, about 7-8cm..the platform the monitors are on goes back further than the actual desk does, I don't use them that much for music as I have a couple of Tannoy floor-standers behind me.

Oh and I almost died looking at the mess of cabling down there, sort that out!

I know, I have only just finished my new PC so I will get to it...I have just had a major op so I can't get under the table at the minute. It annoys the hell out of me though!

You have Tannoys too? Please tell me they are the V4!

If so then tell me how awesome they are, because they are chest burstingly good are they not :D

As for the cables, ah, in that case I'll let you off this time and get better soon!

Yeah, they are the V4's and they are fantastic, even more so considering how relatively inexpensive they are.

New keyboard, replaced a Saitek Eclipse II with a QPad MK 85, was nothing wrong with the Saitek I just fancied buying myself something and had been looking at mech keyboards for a while so took the plunge.

Programming what for what in what?
Pretty dull I'm not going to lie but we are currently making a program that emulates an Insurance Company and we are also given a text file (Full of client information) which the program has to dissect, process and calculate a clients insurance for their car policy, contents policy, life policy etc.

And being in my first year of Uni we are currently starting off programming in Java which while a tedious language at times should pay off when moving to other languages later on :)

That's quite a set-up for a student!
Thanks :). All the computer stuff was paid for by my self. The reason the room is so new looking is due to still leaving at home for my first year of Uni. Going to be moving into a house with friends in september. Not looking forward to giving it up but at the same time living away from home is going to be nice
