Also Devrij, out of interest do you take yours out in full size glory?! They look mahoosive

I do indeed, it's either in my hand, on my desk, or in my pocket at all times. I keep meaning to pick up a small battery for nights out, but just haven't gotten round to it. I got mine from vaping things, so they're legit, and you might save a few quid that way.

Im not a heavy smoker, id say medium-ish.. Ive tried the E-Cigs from the local shops... they are "OK" as I don't have anything better to base them on I like the whole aspect of vaping so I am going to order http://www.ecigwizard.com/electronic-cigarette-starter-kits/starter-bundle/standardbundle.html which is a starter kit but after doing some research Im seeing these huge batteries (Whats the vapor terminology?) with more capacity and voltage settings what disappointed me with E Cigs was the effort to get a decent draw now knowing this as an issue before I buy the starter kit would it be worth me buying an alternative battery with different voltage settings to get an easier big vapor draw or would you recommend me crossing that bridge If I happen to not be happy with the strength of the draw from the starter kit?

Also, I smoke roughly around 6/10 BH Silver per day, What strength mixture would be recommended I was thinking 6MG Low, rather than Medium/High.. thoughts?

You can always go for a variable voltage device later on if you feel like it, but I don't think you'd need one to start with. 6mg is quite low, but the only reason I vape 12mg is to get more of a throat hit, rather than for the nicotine itself

I have read some of the thread and looked at loads of sites but still none the wiser.

I want one that looks like a cigarette it can be refilled easy, I've looked at the 510 Titan Tank compact kit from TW
but still would love some help here.

Thanks

Congrats to all those who give up this disgusting habit. For those that are trying, good luck guys, there are only positives to this surely.
Regardless of medium, WILL POWER is the only true tool you need.
The body may crave, but the mind controls.

Hi, apologies for not reading the whole thread.
I am a habitual smoker, i give them up regualry, but cant seem to stay off them.
Eg, gave up for new year, last week in the pub, had a few fags as i was tipsy, and now back to my 20 a day habit

I am interested in these, as i am now thinking long term, and i may be better off with these, than stopping and starting the fags every few months.

I looked at the VH Star Kit that Rilot got, i take it these are a good starter kit?

Our kit has been put together to give you everything you need to start vaping.
•10x Prefilled disposable cartomizers - 5 high strength tobacco flavour, 5 medium strength tobacco flavour, How long does a cartomiser last for?
•2x 290mah batteries
•1x usb wall adaptor
•1x usb charger
•2x rubber tips
•1x lanyard What is this for?

And i take it you get full instructions on how to use it with the pack?

The lanyard is for hanging it around your neck I guess. Quite handy if you don't have pockets :p

I'd go with the VH star kit tbh. The batteries hold over twice as much charge (less time charging or worrying about battery life), and the atomisers that come with it are better.

The titan kit will be the best compromise between cigarette size and good performance, but an ego battery (the ones that come with this kit) with a smok mega dual coil cartomiser is the size of a small cigar, but with better performance. Also easy to fill and use. Tank systems can be a bit finnicky when it comes to wicking (sometimes they burn dry or flood).

So the smok mega will fit the VH star kit?

I now know what it feels like to be a women in a large dress and shoe shop :D

You'll hear the ego or 510 connector being discussed a lot when it comes to batteries/atties. The 510 fitting doesn't have a "skirt" around it, and generally fits any device. Ego atties have a skirt for aesthetic purposes, but essentially they're just a 510 screw fitting.

Pretty much any atty will fit on the batteries that come with the VH star kit, because the ego batteries it uses have an eg0/510 fitting. Ego atties will fit flush with the skirt meeting the battery, 510 atties will be thinner. Some will look better on it than others, but they'll all work.

As for which one to choose? It's a matter of preference really. I always recommend the smok mega dual coil cartomisers because a) they hold a lot of liquid and don't require topping up more than once a day, b) they never give a burnt taste unless you run them really really really dry, but you'd notice a drop in vapour before then, and c) they're easy to use and cheap to replace. They do lose their best effect quite quickly though (I tend to swap them out within 2 weeks when the flavour/vapour starts to drop off, sometimes sooner).

These are the 510 fitting with no skirt
http://www.ecigwizard.com/accessori...artomisers/510-mega-dual-coil-cartomiser.html

These are the same with the ego fitting (notice the skirt). You'll want these if you have an ego battery (the ones that come with the VH star kit) because they'll look nicer.

I'm pretty sure the VH star comes with vision ego clearomisers, but I think they have a bit of a plasticky taste when you start using them. Again, a matter of preference.

Some of the guys on here like the boge 510 cartos because they're dirt cheap and do the job well
http://www.liberty-flights.co.uk/product.asp?id=108

Try them out for yourself and see what you like best. You can pick up a few for less than a pack of fags :)

Thanks :)

lol, it is a bit of a minefield at first. The batteries that come with the kit are Ego batteries. They'll accept either 510 or ego fit atomisers. The only difference between the two is the skirt on the ego atties (which just makes it sit flush against the battery for better aesthetic appeal.

I just started reading this thread last night, so many new words/terminology to learn, reminds me of when i first started reading up on overclocking lol.

Thanks

I made a little glossary in the OP, but let me know if there are any particular topics of confusion for you guys and I'll add more info to it.

I stopped (for now?) with patches and a made-up mind. It's been about 6 weeks.

I have not really thought about it, but it is bizarre to think back to the point where I had a compulsion to lift one of those things to my mouth multiple times a day. I actually don't want to remember.:(

Thx Devrij, just watched the video and had a quick look at the beginners questions on ukvapours.org.
Will have a proper read tonight.
My missus is very sceptic about this, so i am have to try and justify the startup costs.
How many ml a day would an average person use?

I go through about 2ml a day, and I'd say that's about average-heavy use.

I mix my own and just bought enough supplies to make 500ml for about £40. That'll do me for most of a year. I can always pick up new flavour concentrates for £5 and mix those up too. When you're just getting started it makes sense to keep it simple and buy premade, but you have that potential saving ahead of you too.

Bout 2ml a day here too, though it's worth noting that some devices chew through juice more than others for a similar experience, I've found anyway. The Vision V3 I sometimes use really burns it, Boge cartos not so much at all.

Devrij, I'm going to send you a trust mail about something

Very true, my nova seems to go through it very quickly, whereas the carts were less thirsty. Replied btw.
