Hi guys

Friday is fast approaching when I put my order in for my new system but I'm struggling on one last thing which is the GPU'S

Would I be best with one of these

Or 2 of these

Which option would you have?

7870 Tahiti.

7770 Cape Verde

Yeah I'd prefer nvidia and Rez is 1920x1080

That may be the case, however you should know that if you want to go with nVidia, you're paying about £75 more money for the same performance over a 7950.

My only main concern is future proofing,
That's why I've gone for those cards,
I don't want to get in the situation that I'm in now where I built a system on the cheap and 12 month later in having to spend 2k on a new pc...

It'd be more cost effective to buy something like a 7950 now for £240, and then drop in an upgrade in 12 months time, when mainstream cards will be out for around £300 that offer Titan performance, than get a Titan now and never see £900's worth of performance on a 1080p display.

If your thinking about going 2560 x 1440 then Titan would be worth it.

I'm ordering a new IPS 2560 x 1440 tomorrow. Just deciding which one? DGM IPS 27" is at the top of my list because it's so damn cheap everywhere.

I agree with what your saying,
But I've just got the pass (from the wife) to spend 2k on a PC, I've been trying for 6 month and she's finally gave in lol

I'll just step in to say that there is more than just price/performance to consider when buying a GPU.

Go for what you want to get mate.

Valid point, AMD offer better value

You must have a Crystal ball to make a statement like that

Which option would you have?

Starcraft
Farcry 3
Hitman
Generally FPS games

Yeah I'd prefer nvidia and Rez is 1920x1080

If it must be NVidia I would get a GTX 690, its faster than a Titan, less microstutter than the 2 x GTX 680s and cheaper than both the options you have listed.
