Ah, I didn't know that. I just though it was hardback to paperback and that's it. It still doesn't mean I like them :p
 
I would love to see the game develop to a point where the Imperium pushes back.

Emperor off his throne. Gulliman better. Russ/Khan/Vulkan/Lion and Corax returned and whichever of Alpharius/Omegon is alive returning to the fold as he should. A new crusade and all the rest would be amazing IP and story material! :D

Its happened in the last 5 years or so. Usually the trade is 6 months after the hardback and a full year from launch to the paperback. Raymond Feist was one of the first authors to go this way, I just got used to reading the books a year behind lol
 
they're keeping ebooks exclusive to their website, which means no price competition and you're paying stupid prices if you want them. Do they have sales? I don't think GW even know what a sale is. They could do a weekly deal where they lower the price of one ebook....but they don't. They release ebooks at a stupid price (£9?!?) and then it stays that price forever. If I wanted to buy the Horus Heresy up to Angel Exterminatus it would cost

£150

That's 23 books (and a couple of so, so short stories.)

I've bought each book at about £3.99 on release. so it would have cost me £91.77...so GW are sticking 39% on top of what I've been paying, for a digital product!
 
Feist is a scummy, lazy, pathetic loser of an author who lost the desire to write a good book as soon as his bank balance hit a comfortable figure.

He's so **** and inconsistent he may as well wrote for the Black Library, his continuity errors and repetitive writing style would fit straight in.

Can you imagine that? Abaddon finally get's his **** together and we get a second crusade with the primarchs (alive ones) back? Could be immense.
 
GW don't understand the whole digital marketplace thing.

They seem so afraid to move away from a business model that worked in the 90's. I am surprised shareholders have not put more pressure on them to modernize the business properly. Then again if the shareholders are getting what they want in term of returns I'm sure they don't care how they get it. But the recent announcements seem very short sighted imo.
 
E-books are still finding their feet with regard pricing. Ignoring BL a moment. Say the new Terry Pratchett book is a hardback at £18.99 then the e-book price will have a similar rrp. Once the book moves to paperback the e-book price moves to an rrp similar to the pb. Like with the books themselves you can usually get offers on ebooks from amazon/waterstones wherever.

I've not tried to buy any BL books but if its as you say and they are only sold through their website then that certainly isnt good for their readers and again is going to limit the reader base

I have always wondered (and perhaps the **** scam that is the audio books will reveal) if the likes of Loken, Qurze and Garro are still in the background siting for a pop at the traitors :D

Hello Daniel

Apologies for the lack of reply - all the emails to that address were disappearing into a black hole, so we have set up the support system.

We've had some supply issues over the past couple of months. A large delivery is coming in the next 2-3 days and we expect all outstanding orders to be fulfilled once it arrives.
