I've recently made posts enquiring for a gaming pc however I'm not too sure if a gaming pc is actually what I need, I want a reletavly fast pc which mostly I will be using for my ICT coursework, as well as school work I also want a decent gpu as I will also be doing gaming in my free time. Can anyone spec me a pc please ?

What sort of budget are we looking at?
Do you have any existing components you can reuse, hdd, Psu, cooler, dvd/rw, case or OS. Do you also require k&m and speakers?

still the same budget? (£1200)

as you said you wasn't sure about a gaming rig, i haven't built you one :)

1 x Samsung 256GB SSD 840 PRO SATA 6Gb/s Basic - (MZ-7PD256BW) £189.95
2 x Iiyama Prolite E2481HS-B1 24" Widescreen LED Super Slim Bezel Monitor - Black £169.99 (£339.98)
1 x AMD A10-5800K Black Edition 3.80GHz (Socket FM2) APU Trinity Quad Core Processor (AD580KWOHJBOX) £99.95
1 x Thermaltake Armor A30 LAN Gaming Case - Black £79.99
1 x Microsoft Windows 8 64-Bit DVD - OEM (WN7-00403) £79.99
1 x Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (ST2000DM001) HDD £71.99
1 x Seasonic G series 450w '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply £69.98
1 x Gigabyte F2A85XM-D3H AMD A85X Chipset (Socket FM2) DDR3 micro ATX Motherboard £61.99
1 x MSI HD 6670 2048MB GDDR3 PCI-Express Graphics Card £59.99
1 x Adata XPG Gaming v2.0 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-15000C9 1866MHz Dual Channel Memory Kit (AX3U1866GC4G9B-DG2) £55.99
Total : £1,109.81 (includes shipping : FREE).

not picked keyboard & mouse, or mouse mat either as these are personnel choices, enough money left in the budget for a good set

what i have chosen is,

a A10 quad core with a good motherboard and 8gb of fast ram with a 2gb video card for extra video power in hybrid crossfire mode, just incase
a 256gb samsung quick sdd with a 2tb hdd for storage
a standard dvdrw
a nice small form factor case, just right for the younger person (ammo box design)
one of the best psu out there (Seasonic G series 450w '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply) have it on all day and won't cost you the earth, with great warranty....
gone for windows 8 64bit, but win 7 is the same price if you don't like it
and for your viewing pleasures 2X 24" Widescreen LED Super Slim Bezel Monitors (put these together close and will look like one big screen for half the cost, good refresh rate, and even better for gaming, films etc or just general net use, but won't hurt your eyes when you spend 8 hours on them, won't have to squint anyway.

Previously my budget were £1200 but I noticed I need some money for my driving license so my budget now is about £900

a10 runs 2 monitors fine, for a £900 budget i'll re spec if you want, but in your comments and your last thread, you said you wasn't sure you wanted even a gaming rig, so why spec a games pc?

£1200 will get you an awesome build with a 7970, i7 3770k and an SSD.

This is what I'm looking to build soon, probably order at the end of the week, just lower some of the components from the above build and you're onto a winner.

Edit: Nevermind just seen that you lowered your budget.

Will I be able to get a similar build maybe with an i5 for £900 instead of an i7 ?
