Bioshock 3 - Infinite

Hmm, didn't think much of this as I wasn't a fan of bioshock 1 (got bored partway through) or 2.
But this looks decent I'll admit, might be worth a go.

That's different WE have seen loads videos/played past games to decide if its worth the buy, Witch it sure defo is :D

We not seen or know a single thing about the DLC they want you to buy.

Fair point but after seeing the quality of the game, how cheap the GMG deal was and the 20% off the season pass plus day one extras I think it is money well spent. At the end of the day it's £36 for the full game and all add-ons plus loadsa freebies WIN WIN WIN :D

Wow! it looks amazing in that review. I don't want to watch too much as I want to discover it all in the game, can't wait till tomorrow when i can play it properly.

Hoping it won't look too bad on my GTX280...

I guess we can all start saying our theories once more people have had a chance to play it! :D

Can't wait!...I've got a few on the go atm. Will have to see how it plays out;). I think if someone spoiled this story for me, I might try to kill them

The perfect mix of freedom and scripted events so far...and not a QTE insight!

Yeah I'm not posting any screenshots or info from the game until I see a decent amount of people that have progressed in the game, just sad that I am at work now until 07.00. although I have 3 days off from Wednesday morning so I'm sure I'll give it the needed attention then! :D

Yep so played about an hour so far. The game is showing to be pretty awesome. The graphics are amazing so far even on medium (Currently using my brothers 650 over my 560ti due to compatability with my hackintosh/to stop my urge to game a bit for Uni work XD), story so far is fairly interesting. The fighting can be abit boring and it feels like the turrets do half the work but I'm not very far in so I can't say for what will be coming at you later in the game :)

I think the worst one was BF3.... The game came out with a few crappy maps then they sold you 3 more at a time for like £15 a go... If you bought all of them that is about £100... In the good old days they would have just released those maps as patches for free...

In the good old days they charged around the same. About £100 is wrong as bf3 + premium was around £70 at best. Expansion pack and booster packs added £32 to the £30 bf2 retailed at. That the devs/publishers have got greedier is clear, don't recall any free maps so far in bf3. At least in bf2 they gave you 4 free maps but a i guess it was owed after the shambles the patchwork was.

Is the game good without dlc?

I was fortunate enough to see Levine talk about the game a couple of weeks back, he's a very assured and smart guy. I didn't like Bioshock too much, it was interesting enough but the Objectivism was laid on too heavily. Would you kindly let me play a game?

He gets a free pass still, he's made some great and noteworthy games. Almost all of them in fact.

Bought it.

I get odd stuttering at really random places. Huge fights and open areas will be a solid 60fps (vsync on), but I can walk into a certain corner of a room, or face a certain door and the fps just drops... Not game breaking, but really annoying haha.

Anyway, feel a little lost in the story...

This is where I'm at as far as I can tell:

So, I'm a guy, collecting a girl to pay off some unknown debt, so far. We have been introduced to vigors, I have 'not' assassinated an old general of mine, combat is now with Elizabeth and she often brings in things through windows when I ask.

I have just called down the gondola after getting the shock vigor... What on earth is going on? Is my version pretty much all I should know? Some guy claiming him self to be a prophet. Elizabeth doesn't know how she got her power, nor why she is there... Can someone without spoilers, explain if I am being a bit slow or am I expecting to see more revealed later?

Aha quality easter egg in the game.

Elizibeth walks up to an arcade machine saying how it's the newest one in the series and how she heard it had been delayed 3 times XD

Itching to play but can't be bothered with VPNs etc...

I guess it's still going to look good on my 560TI :)

Same here. All through the Songbird sequence I was getting at least 80fps, then I look at a wall and I am getting about 45!

Give the story time. It is certainly very confusing, but that is what is so great about it!....there will no doubt be resolution by the end though. I am fully expecting to be mind****ed, and have no idea what happened at first:D

I was just reading the PC Gamer review(which is really funny btw), and it has aline which I thought sums up the premise really well-
You’re on a flying city of magical racists in 1912, and that soon drops to being only the fifth or sixth most puzzling thing about your situation.

Ok I bought it. It's 25% done going at 900kb/s and I don't think it'll be done by midnight even though I've got a VPN ready as usual.

Sadface. :(
