Bioshock 3 - Infinite

This game is almost unplayable for me on any graphics settings... very low, very high, makes no difference it stutters all the time. Tried some of the fixes makes no difference... Terrible. How can this be described as "well optimized" in reviews?

Nope people report this on top of range PC's....

It is on a 5870 + Q6700... Not amazing but it should run OK because the graphics are not even very good and it is clearly the game.

Stutters on very low, stutters on Ultra... Any settings it still stutters. Loads of reports of this online.

You may simply have one of those unlucky combinations. I'm only on a 560ti 1Gb admittedly at 1680x1050 with a 2500k and I have everything on very high and with SweetFX too. The only times I get any jitters is when it's loading a new area and there's some dialogue going on, but everything's fine after a couple of seconds. It's playing about the same as Dishonoured did for me, ie great.

I get the 30fps drop every now and then....tried the fixes too which didn't work.

Other than the performance is very good and the game looks fantastic plus i like the way weapons/vigor abilities are handled.

I get the stuttering too, sometimes only every now and then, sometimes quite a lot. FX4100 @ 4GHz, 560TI and running off an SSD. =/

Other than that it runs like a dream.

Elizabeth is the only none human person id let **** on me!

March and GOTY already? I think so!

Im torn between this and tomb raider for GOTY tbh. This is more ambitious whilst tomb raider is more visceral. Finished both of them and really enjoyed both, but for different reasons.

Bioshock pros:

Fun combat, nice art work, interesting story, interesting world to explore, feel emotion towards the characters

cons:

More linear than I was expecting, even though it "appears" not to be, limited replayability,

Tomb raider pros:

Great combat, visceral experience, pulse pounding/edge of seat moments, interesting story, replayable, great upgrade system

Cons:

Pulls away from relatively weak girl and turns into stone cold killer nearly in the blink of an eye.

Damn tough choice!
