How do you dress for air travel?

Either a long top with leggings or dress with tights. Do not wear skinny jeans on a long haul flight. :o

As to planes being cold - they're always too cold for me. I don't like using the blankets as they get all static and cling to you.. But I have no choice when it's cold :(

I believe in taking care of myself, and a balanced diet and a rigorous exercise routine. In the morning, if my face is a little puffy, I'll put on an ice pack while doing my stomach crunches. I can do a thousand now. After I remove the ice pack, I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower, I use a water activated gel cleanser. Then a honey almond body scrub. And on the face, an exfoliating gel scrub. Then apply an herb mint facial mask, which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an aftershave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.

I wear what I always wear to work or weekends, t-shirt and combats. Comfortable and functional.

Magnolia = Patrick Bateman ? :P

I tend to wear slack stuff too. I once wore a pair or tracksuit bottoms in business class and felt a bit of a ***** compared to the other 12 or so people, but it was a short flight so soon recovered.

The only time I wear a shirt outside of work is if it's for a do or going out up town.

Can't imagine getting up on the morning of a flight and even picking what shirt to wear, t shirt and hoody all day. Usually with a pair of jeans and some vans/high tops or something in that region for footwear.

Sounds like there could be an age gap difference here to though.

If I'm sat in a metal tube for 8 hours, comfort beats pride in my appearance. Tracksuit bottoms trainers and a hoodie here. Do I care what fuzz thinks, trussed up like he's going to church with his nan? Noooope!

This basically

I just wear what I normally wear in my free time. So not a tracksuit but not smart dress either. Not really sure what the big deal is? As Scuzi has pointed out the reason everyone is in a tracksuit is because you are flying from BHX not becuase standards have slipped. Not many people board a Thomson flight to the Costa Del Fried Eggs wearing full business dress. You'll find the same at LGW and probably find the opposite at LHR.

Sat here at BHX and it has struck me that a lot of travellers dress as if they're just slobing about on the sofa at home.
By that I mean trackies and a hoodie mostly and what's with the white trainers!!
Is this any way to dress in public though?
I'm sat here in a collared shirt, cotton jumper, dark jeans and black shoes. A perfectly comfortable combination without looking like I just got up!

So what do you wear?

whatever I can be bothered to get dressed into.
It's a flight not a dinner or a business meeting.
hatevers comfortable tbh, you could be sitting for while

Depends on where I am flaying -
Short european flight - I just wear what ever I need for the rest of the day at the other end.

Long flight (SE asia...) I generally try and wear something as comfortable as possible however if have treated my self to business class then I do make a little more effort to look just a little better.

Even Dr House isn't crazy enough to remove peoples skin mid flight

I'm currently sat in departures at SOU and everyone looks… normal.

I'm wearing a t-shirt, fleece, jeans and boots.

It must be due to the airport you're sat in. :p

What ever I feel comfortable in... Obvs if it gonna be like middle of the day 50C when landing then shorts, don't want to be in trackies sweating away in the car!

****ing properly riles me when you walk out of the airport during the day and people are like "oh my god it's so hot", "oh wow the heat!" and all that other nonsense.
