Are people starting to lose interest in Apple?

Based on the fact that almost 1 in 6 posts in this thread are from the same user, without a single post having anything to do with the actual thread title, I can only gather one thing... He is spamming and trolling, in a single minded effort to get his post count up to 1000 for MM access.

I'd not credit him with that personally. He seems so genuinely angry.

But it wasn't, and you left out half of the components?!

You haven't proven anything, sadly. You just think you have. If that was true you'd probably not be sat in here scrambling to defend it round the clock. :p

Im not angry at all I just trying to prove a point... Im not saying anything else because it is pointless.I havre not been "scrambling to defend it around the clock"

All I have done is post facts.... And all you people do is insult me or make up stupid reasons. I give up and for the final time goodbye.

Objective impartial buyer : "but it is the same components as you can get in another computer for half the price, with the same guarantee and quality, just not the apple brand"

Are you entirely incapable of understanding the concept that the value of a computer is not based entirely on its internal components? Or are you just trolling?

Here is a sample conversation between an objective impartial buyer and an apple fanboy :

Objective impartial buyer : "but I mean if you look at the prices there you can see that they are over charging"

Apple fanboy : "yes but its apple, you get the convenience and it is apple quality brand"

Objective impartial buyer : "but it is the same components as you can get in another computer for half the price, with the same guarantee and quality, just not the apple brand"

apple fanboy : "naaaa apple is liek a ferrari and other is leik a fiat punto or sommit"

Objective impartial buyer : "no they are the same components but they are a lot more expensive from apple"

apple fanboy : "but you gets the apple brand with the guarantee and all this innit"

Objective impartial buyer : "but any custom built PC / other brand has a warranty and costs half the price"

apple fanboy : "na sorry apple is better because they are designer innit"

Wow... Just wow... You just went full retard there matey... Never go full retard

That's why you ignore the massive cases and go for a silent ITX build. This forum (OcUK) is obsessed with hideous, huge and noisy cases I agree shouldn't be seen anywhere near a living room, in fact just shouldn't be seen! :p

The cases aren't noisy, it's the components inside. Plus if you don't use a fan controller then of course it is going to be loud as your computer doesn't care how loud it is as long as it is running cool.

Plus big versus small (a.k.a. ATX+ versus ITX) is I'd say a budget issue. ITX builds will cost more because many of them will require watercooling due to lack of decent airflow through the case or size restrictions for a meaty heatsink.

Of course the majority of builds you see here will be based on ATX because that is the standard. Desktop PCs are not designed to be plonked in the living room next to a TV, that's what a HTPC is for.

No it was humour but you dont seem particularly bright so you probably didnt realise.

The guy in your sig however....

Why is that? Because I pointed out that you're wrong... or at least that your logic is very flawed

So now your argument has well and truly fallen to pieces you're just having little digs at people, heh.

I'll tell you again - you've made your point (or at least attempted to :p) - stop digging yourself a hole.

What you're arguing isn't even relevant to the thread!

A 'normal' person would have said - "I think Apple products are overpriced and people can get alternatives for less." - but no, you've gone on a ridiculous, ill-informed crusade. :o

I think what you're missing and haven't accounted for is that the 'other system' doesn't come with either OSX or iOS. You're dead right I could buy a Galaxy S3 for £330 in comparison to £530 for the iPhone 5, but then I wouldn't have iOS and I'd have to make do with Android instead. Is iOS worth a £200 premium? Absolutely in my books. Ask someone else and they might say no.

If spending the extra £200 meant I would have to not eat for the next month, or miss a mortgage payment, then clearly I'd settle for the cheaper product as no phone is worth sacrificing either of those 2 things for. But as I can afford an iPhone, I might as well go for the better device; there's no point in deliberately hamstringing myself just to save some money that I don't particularly need to save. I think your failing is that you incorrectly assume everyone has the same likes, dislikes and requirements as you and you need to learn to accept that that isn't the case. I'd hazard a guess that you're a teenager going through the 'I'm right and know everything' stage. You'll soon learn that the world isn't black and white, and in fact has many shades of grey in between.
