Because the amount of £££ spent on a night out is directly proportional to both your level of 'swag' and how awesome your night was because you were 'totally wasted' and could even have 'chundered'.

On a more serious note, it can be difficult not to spend silly amounts these days when a pint costs you just shy of a fiver and a proper drink can cost as much as a tenner. Utter madness.
