Hey all,

I, like many others here, have been looking for a decent iPhone dock for ages now without much luck...

I recently came across this Kickstarter campaign for a new dock...

If you remember the Elevation Dock for the previous dock connector, you'll see that it looks and acts very similar. It comes in four different colours, and uses micro-suction pads on the bottom to hold it to the desk, without having to be really heavy!

Any thoughts?

Still can't believe that Apple aren't making Lightning docks. :( It's one of the main things I love about iPhones/iPods.

All these kick starter docks look absolutely crap and are overpriced.

I miss the old Apple Docks like I had from my for my iPhone 3G/4/4S, they were £20 looked the part and did the job. All these kick-starter docks are just stupidly humongous.

Yeah I was really surprised, especially with the release of a new dock connector. You'd think they'd jump on that :p

But I don't like docks where you have to hold them to get your phone out, which is why I like this dock so much. It uses micro-suction pads to glue itself to your desk :p

I don't think it looks too bad! I think it's a little larger than it needs to be, but it fits its purpose, and I haven't found many other docks out there :(

cant say i like the loo of that dock either.

the ones you can get on ebay follows the standard apple docks so much more.

That looks awful. Just looks like a lump of metal with a wire coming out of it!

Did they even design it? Or did they just call first dibs on chunks of metal cut off from the production line at another factory?

I actually didn't mind the design :p However, after finding the Dock+, I think I may wait another month or two and get that instead. One thing I didn't like about the MiDock is that it puts the iPhone a little higher than most other docks, whereas the Dock+ looks like it sits at a perfect position, and it uses a micro-USB cable :)

The Dock+ looks much nicer than that hunk of ugly metal that is the MiDock.

Do people actually use docks for their phones? the only one I've ever used was for my Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte, was free and came with a spare battery that needed charging.

I'm still using a 4s, but I don't even dock it in my sony alarm clock.

I use the Apple dock on my desk. Keeps it upright so I can see incoming messages/notifications and syncs/charges with iTunes.

I've never used a dock before, but I want to start using my phone as an alarm clock :)

Yep :) You lot brought me to my senses :p The Dock+ looks very nice indeed, and will be Apple verified :D
