Wouldn't you want an A85X board instead of the A55?

If your running hybrid, would it not benefit from 1866 instead of 1600 RAM?

You can change the RAM as the board supports 1866. You could gaet 2133 for the same price, but I dont know if you can overclock on that board. My Trinity board knowledge is not great.

yeah i think i'll go with that ram 1866 would be great for the APU, will it be compatible i don't want to build this for him and then realise that X and Y aren't compatible

EDIT: actually looking at the memory compatibility list it does support 2133 memory....hmm.... is 1866 enough or would 2133 be better

hmmmm...... would a pentium not bottleneck the 7850,

the gpu won't be able to run at it's full potential, but that's probably going to be faster than a 7750

anyway difference between G860 and i3 is hyper-threading and i'm sure i read this has no bearing on games

Some info about i3 2100 and G840
http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/289?vs=405

guy is running bf3 on G860 and 7850 2GB
not sure about multiplayer..

At the thread count as it stands now, the HT would probably be fairly useful due to only being dual core.

that's what i thought whereas the pentium is only a dual core no hyperthreading. i'm slightly drawn towards the i3 build now as it leaves more room for upgrading later but the trinity however has potentially slightly better performance due to the hybrid crossfire
