Lamborghini Miura SV burns to the ground

not going to go into too much detail but i know that the car just came of a FULL restoration and this was its first and last drive on the road, whoops....

It's still only a car. To many people their personal Fiesta burning to the ground is much more impacting than some randomers supercar :p

In-fact, I'd rather this guys 1 of 150 burnt to the ground than my car!

Your car can be replaced, it's just some generic tin, as you know his isn't, I'd let my car burn to save this miura.

What about for a guaranteed supply of super unleaded? :p

Now you might be talking! ;)

Mine can be exactly the same as his can be - with one of the other remaining cars. One costs more than the other and is rarer. So what? Still no way on earth I'd rather my own car burn and 1 of 150 of this one be saved.

It's a nice example of a historic supercar, I personally however have no affinity for it, many people would hold the same opinion. If you cannot accet that...*shrug*

For a car which is worth so much/a collectable I'm not sure why these guys don't plumb in extinguishing systems? As an insurer I would almost be requiring that to insure it as much as I would be an alarm system! For most cars the complexity/cost is unreasonable but for something like this?

Probably because it'd pretty much ruin an otherwise lovely example of a very rare car versus the very small risk of it spontaneously incinerating itself.
