Flashback HD coming to PSN XBL

Ubisoft has announced that a HD remake of classic action adventure game Flashback will be available on PSN and XBLA later this year.
To celebrate the title's 20th anniversary, the original creator of the game has re-rendered it in 3D using the Unreal engine, though you'll still be playing in 2D. New voice acting has also been provided.
Flashback will follow the tale of familiar hero Conrad, returning to save humanity from an invasion of alien Morphs.

Excellent. Loved this game and still struggle with it now.lol. Looks great.

Loved the original as a kid, I struggled on the alien world parts but I was really young so I'm looking forward to seeing how difficult it is for a 25 year old.

This is pretty much what I'm thinking, I couldnt really remember getting very far. but after seeing certain levels in that HD clip, i actually think i got further than I thought.

I can remember getting to the parts in space where you had to fight these weird pink things, they were like Ditto from Pokemon! Oh and I remember that I needed a code to open a door to get any further but couldn't find it anywhere. This was on the SNES version a good 19 years ago.

Would rather see a Fade to Black remake. I remember that being hard as nails too. Delphine were great

2D was the peak for platform games for me and I loved Flashback. Please don't stuff this up

It was so long ago I played this all I can remember is the run against the clock at the end.

There was one before it on the snes Another World or Out of This World or something. Blew my mind at the time. Such a tough game with the gun charging shield thingy. I got Flashback soon after completing it. Thought the graphics were the best thing I'd ever seen and played it until I finished it. Awesome game.

Delphine indeed were great.

Loved the little errands/jobs in this game and travelling between the stations named after continents. Hope they have them funky jingles like when you pick up an object.

Another World, Flashback & Prince of Persia were great games! Probably first games I played where the main character actually looked fluid when jumping, grabbing ledges etc.

That sounds more like Future Wars. I don't recall a clock in Flashback - although I could be totally wrong as I can't remember anything past the jungle level.
