Cat café to open in London

That is brilliant. But I hope they have enough cats. Don't want fights to break out when there are expectant punters and not enough pussy to go round.
 
There was a nice cafe in Warwick that had a cat, it would wander in and pick out a cat person, then just sat in their lap for ten minutes. It made for a nice relaxed atmosphere.
 
yeah if i want cat The Dragon Inn just around the corner caters for all my cat meat based culinary needs
 
I went to one in Tokyo and unfortunately it wasn't a very pleasant experience. The cafe itself was nice (though expensive) but the cats were so unsettled by so many different people going in all the time and so many other cats that it wasn't a good atmosphere. it might just have been that cafe but the cats were really stressed and unhappy.
 
It's an interesting idea but if they're using rehomed cats then how will the rehoming assessors determine if it's a good situation to put the cats into? There's likely to be such a variety of people coming in that it will be unsettling for the cats when what they'd need/want is a more regular home life. That won't apply to all but cats are often creatures of routine so that element would have to be quite carefully managed.
 
Nice idea, but unless properly managed (with the cats in mind), it could be totally impractical, not to mention unfair on the animals.
