Cool, sounds like a great plan! I'm still yet to go to Moscow, I know loads of Russians (in fact the guy sitting next to me right now is from Omsk) and they all say how bad Moscow is but there is a lot of cool stuff if you're just visiting.6 days in Moscow. I've put together a trip for my Dad's 60th birthday visiting various Space Program sights (Star City, Mission Control, Energia factory, Space Museum, Laika monument etc.). He's been to all the places in the US but never though to visit the Russian stuff (No one does tours and as I'm finding it is very difficult to arrange yourself
).
Also going to squeeze in Red square, Lenin, St. Basils and checkout some of the fancier Metro stations.
edit: Also squeezing a couple of days in Transnistria in on the way there, a very interesting place if you haven't heard of it before.
Easyjet are going there from Gatwick for cheap so that may get me off my arse and go there
