I have only just seen this card on OCUK and I must admit that I have never heard of this manufacturer before. I have tried to find reviews but they are thin on the ground or in German !!

Has anyone used one of these cards and are they reliable ? Also what is the card design is it reference 7950 / 7970 or is it custom designed by the manufacturer.

At the price point it seems to represent good value for money, but as I don't know / have experiene of the manufacturer it might be the card or the warranty is absolute gash ?

I have two of the vtx 7970's, they are reference and of course voltage unlocked.
One had slight coil whine on purchase but a short while of furmark cleared that up, now quiet as a mouse.

It was very simple to get 1250mhz from mine and they are low asic so great for water :)

never had to sue the warranty though so I can't comment there.

I have the V2 since June last year. Nice card got 1881 in heaven @ 1000. left the card @960 since.
Just added a HD 7950 Twin Frozr III Boost Edition to CF. Why cause it is dam cheap £241 shipped. plus a 3 year warranty whereas the V2 only had 2 year.
If I was you I would pay the extra £15.00 to get a card with an extra year warranty.

its not just about the warranty though, i need a card that is reference pcb. From what I have seen the vtx was reference ? Is the Boost MSI reference ? and is it one of those models MSi put on a 7970 ref board. I hae got an MSI 7950 OC v2 that is on a 7970 ref board but looking at reports from the net the boost edition is on a 7950 board.

I thought the 7950's on the 7970 boards were better clockers as they had better phases / higher quality components. SO my main issue is would getting a 7950 not on a 7970 ref pcb mean that it would stop me from getting the most out of other card when they are in crossfire ?

I can't comment on that card but I bought a VTX 6990 ages ago and have had no problems with it. I was a bit nervous of VTX as I'd not heard of them but no regrets.

I've got one of the non-boost versions, and under water, it's got to 2nd on Heaven Valley and 3rd on 3DMark Firestrike out of all 7950's so far on various benchmarks here on OcUK.

Not too bad for a budget card that most tend to avoid...
