Hi my son has asked for a pc for his birthday and as I haven't built a system for over 6 yrs I'm not sure what decent and what isn't please could you spec me a system for around £800 .
Monitor and os are not req'd.
An ssd would be nice if possible , would like the option of x fire in the future and maybe look into over clocking so would require decent cooling.
Thanks in advance
Mark.

Most of us would agree it would just make more sense to spend the extra cash on a better GPU and CPU cooling.

Nice job.

There is faster RAM at a lower price avalible - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-076-PA&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=1387

And it should have no issues with that coolers fan.

P.S will also look good on the board:)

Wow thanks for the super quick replies much appreciated. All sound very good will have a closer look tomorrow .
Thanks again.

No worries fella.

RJC and I are on a similar wave length. I did use that better RAM from the get go and got you more storage although granted it was a B grade HDD. The 7870XT I used is much better than the 7850. It's closely related to the 7950, if you OC it you can net 7950 performance although it does have a little less VRAM than the "full fat" 7950

Hope we've helped more than hindered. I look forward to seeing what you settle on in the end :)

Which would you say is best between these 2 cards
SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 7950 Tahiti Boost Edition 3GB GDDR5 Graphics Card
HIS HD 7950 IceQ BOOST 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
Have found the sapphire card £15 cheaper than the his .

The HIS is external exhaust i.e it pumps the hot air out of the case making it better suited for an Xfire setup. Nothing wrong as such with getting the Sapphire if it's cheaper though

Ok thanks for reply, think i have decided on what i shall be puchasing , some items not from OC as sourced cheaper .
