checked the obvious yet like poorly seated ram, power connections?

quick gander over at asus website and I think 5 short beeps may be a cpu issue

Might be worth trying another CMOS reset by using the onboard jumper.

yea as rjc says. just noticed you said you only had the battery out for about 5 secs. I'd want it out a bit longer than that. 5mins might be better just to be sure

What hard drive do you have? I think A2 is a hard drive problem, make sure that the cmos reset has not altered any settings like disabling AHCI if you have an SSD

how do i check that

In the bios like in this image: -

i forgot to mention im getting a black screen so cant do anything in bios

Ahh then my suggestion will not work then lol

3 things I would try: -

Re-seat memory and try one stick at a time, if that did not work I would try the graphics car in another slot.

Also I think that board has a duel bios so maybe switch over to the other bios (not sure how you do that with that board but google it, it's probably a switch or something like that)

If you spill coolant, the last thing I would have done was turn it on again! It needs a long time to dry, not sure how long but at least longer than a day!

You might just have cooked that slot (if it was one slot you spilt it in) dry the memory stick and try it in another slot

im a noob so there is black and red slots i see matter which order i put in? i put 1 stick in the furthest black ram slot to the left and try'd it still same thing

just try one stick for now, try the stick that has not had coolant on it in a slot that you didn't spill coolant in.

If that does not work it's new mobo time by the looks of it, also make sure there is no coolant left in the slot get the hair dryer on it if needed
