A close friend of mine (female) spent quite a bit of time backpacking around India on her own. She was mailing me at the time and mentioned a few things that did concern me. I was worried for her before all these recent news stories and I'm infinitely more grateful now that she managed to continue her journey around the world safely.

Some parts of the world just have a disproportionate amount of nutters/pervs/loons or at the very least, a justice system that doesn't live up to its purpose. It's not racist to say so.

In the previous thread about a rape in Rio he decided to mention some unrelated Indian rape and refer to Indians as animals... then got angry when questioned about it.

Maybe he's really concerned about issue in India but its not that far fetched to question whether the OP has an agenda here or perhaps dislikes India for i some reason.

I called rapists "bloody animals" not Indians.

And this unrelated Indian rape you mention, didn’t both incidents share massive amounts of similarities? including that : -

Both incidents:-

Were on “public transport” where victims were duped aboard
Male partner was beaten and tied to a seat and forced to watch
Male partner was struck with iron bars
Young attackers under 16 in each
Took turns raping the women in back of bus
And finally dumped in the road

I'm sorry but in my opinion both were so similar in style, believe it or not, i found both incidents similar hence the comparison highlighted. Shocking :rolleyes:

Obviously it's a tongue in cheek reference to Indians, so I'm saying that the OP was referring to rapists, not Indians when he said 'these types of people'.

Feel free to get your knickers in a twist, I definitely will not care in the slightest, but it was obviously an attempt at some form of humour while defending the OP's obvious meaning.

It's the justice system that is at fault here rather than the locality. If the police force have a reputation of not giving a **** about certain crimes and would rather pay £20 to drop the case, then you're going to have issues.
