Your TOP 3 greatest most memorable games of all time

Has to be only 3.
Can be From any age and genera/platform.
Cant be a series must be a single game e.g. (No MASS EFFECT series has to be 1,2,3).

That'd be my selection off the top of my head, Kingdom Hearts II had a close struggle in that list.

I am assuming this is PC games only? ;)

I think I have the best memories of:

1) Civilization II
2) Theme Hospital
3) Call of Duty (original)
 
IMHO

1) Deus Ex

2) Baldur's Gate II

3) Unreal(None 'o' this tournament Bull****!)

& I believe Full Throttle Deserves an honorable mention mainly due to dark comedy value but also to Fantastic Storyline & Voice work throughout!

Yes I was a nintendo kid :P there's newer games that I've thought are deeper and better made such as HL2, ME, Skyrim etc, but I could never have the passion for games I had then.

If I were including Nintendo Games none of those would get a mention they're too new!

Super Mario Bros. 3

Mega Man 2

Duck Hunt

They all held far more entertainment value!
 
Story-driven:

1. Psychonauts
2. Mass Effect 1
3. Baldurs Gate

Non-story (random maps or multiplayer):

1. Heroes of Might & Magic 3
2. Carmageddon
3. WoW
 
1) Final Fantasy XI
2) Age of Empires II
3) Counter-Strike 1.5

These are the games i'll remember the most as i wasted much of my younger days playing them :D

I wasn't lucky enough to have a NES, but spent a lot of time around on my mates! First I had was GB/SNES, maybe you're a few years older!
 
Quake with a Voodoo2 12mb
Tomb Raider with a Voodoo2 12mb

I was gobsmacked at the difference between the software and accelerated versions.

World of Warcraft (my first MMO)
 
3 is a brutally small list! As such, I think I'm going to go for an entirely by-the-amount-fo-time-spent-enjoying-them ranking (i.e. I played them the longest, so I ended up with the greatest number of memorable moments).

World of Warcraft
Counterstrike (1.x)

And the third one just because the atmosphere and story-telling in-game was a level above anything before:

That doesn't nearly cover my "Favorite games of all time", it's just 3 of them, I have many.
