UEFA Champions League/Europa League 23/24/25 April *** Spoilers ***

We don't need an essay or to delve too deeply into how Bayern beat Barcelona.

Power, pace, efficiency and ruthlessness.

It was.like watching Arsenal off the late 90s early 00s.

It looks quite strong but you can quite clearly see from that angle that Muller is slowing down massively before he makes contact, I think thats what made them not give the foul, from the other angles it looks much worse... I'm still surprised it wasn't given as a foul, but Alba was basically beaten anyway and I don't think he would have stopped the shot.

It was fantastic, my immediate thought was, ultimate american football/basketball play by Muller :p

This! Except the Arsenal part cant remember much of them in the 90's. Think Guardiola realised his players were not hungry for success any more and used that to take a break. Barcelona have no defence and no bench it's been an achilles heal for them since 2009, They badly need a replacement for Puyol imo.

Has there been an explanation to Pique's hair, or lack of?

You're more concerned with the answer to that than having an explanation to how someone so terrible at CB can be playing for one of the best teams in the world? ;)

Since Puyol has been injured, really the last two seasons, its been so obvious how awful he is, and just how ridiculously good Puyol was a few years ago to somewhat hide how terrible Pique is.

I think the injuries at his age have taken a huge toll on Puyol though, when he has been back he hasn't looked anywhere near as good :( I love that guy but Barca really need to be finding a long term replacement for him now, Bantra looks better than PIque from what I've seen in the past 4-5 games, and alongside a top class replacement for Puyol might be good enough/grow into it, but he's too inexperienced and not good enough to be the other CB alongside Pique.

How that goal wasn't given as a foul I will never know - even if Muller was "slowing down" shouldn't make a jot of difference.

Well done BM, at least it makes the 2nd semi and potentially the final a lot more interesting (although Messi isn't likely to be completely fit for next week)
