3930k temps

I get a 6-8 degrees c difference on mine at load, it's common.
However minimum temps are odd, i assume that's not at idle for 10 minutes and you've got some background apps doing something?

idle's are 27,27,31,28,27,18

it is odd, room temp is about 21c so to get one reading less than ambient is strange, going on impossible, faulty sensor maybe??? IDK

this look like a bad mount or normal?????? trying to sort benching profile, hence high temps

this is doing some quick testing on IBT on very high.

From 66c to 80c. That's a bigger difference than most, i'd say bad mount or uneven TIM spread.

yeah i think so, just ran it again and got 67-84c, may have to lay off the benching for a while as this means i have to drain loop again  as the connection between cpu and vrm's is nearly all fittings, gutted :(

Did your CPU waterblock come with cellophane on it, I forgot to remove it on one of my rigs and the temps were unfortunate to say the least.

Sorry mate couldn't resist :)

It does seem weird that its the same sensor is showing the highest and lowest

readings, unfortunately re applying tim is the only way to go :(

not tried it, usually just test on IBT if benching.

i still think it's the TIM, possible air pocket, which would explain the very low temp on that core, unless that one still thinks its connected to a chiller!!

The sensors on cpu's arent meant for reporting accurate temps and even less so low temperatures. Although I recall reading that the latest intel chip's sensors have a greater lower range. I doubt their QC for temperature response is that rigourous or a strong design goal considering their primary purpose is to help regulate throttling/turbo.
The below airtemp temp on that core would suggest its just product variance (although more pronounced than typical) at a range its not designed to be accurate in.
